I haven't even watched the video yet but looking forward to doing so since I'm a fan of Santana's playing 🎸 Nice camera angle on your Tele, btw. Not sure but I'd guess his most popular song was "Evil Ways"

Santana is awesome! You won't regret watching this, just saying...

Unfortunately, too many snippets. Stick to one or two and go deeper!? ==>> Though: PLAYFUL, original, genuine & likeable display √√ =>> Most DEFINITELY you SHOULD consider doing Santana Songs SET-by-STEP-Tutorial. ==>> Likes & SUBSCRIPTIONS will add up by default 🤪🤪

This wasn't intended to be a song tutorial, but rather an overview of Santana-isms. There will be full song tutorials in the future. I appreciate the critiques though. To be fair this video has given me half my subscribers and is easily my most viewed and liked video by far. It's hard to say what the majority wants from this lesson, but I'm trying to listen and learn from what you guys engage with. Thank you again.

@@eliguitarlessons365 Title says: »LICKS & TRICKS« That is clear enough. But I guess, you know where I was heading. I do REALLY like the approach!! BUT i was "KINDA" overwhelmed by too many 'snippets'. Maybe it JUST because you reminded me on myself, who would like to share MANY things at ONCE 😄 If you were to take ONE or TOW of your =>> 'Licks & Tricks' AND go REALLY =>DEEP with it, that would have given this nice approach EVEN -MORE-DEPTH. Just supporting 🤪

@@pKova55 I greatly appreciate the input and support. I teach Middle school kids on the regular, and a big challenge I have is educating kids about music history. It's impossible to get a kid excited about a reference they don't know, and most kids don't know the classics. I'm hoping to reach them with these videos, and them follow up with more in depth lessons. Thank you again!

@@eliguitarlessons365 Maybe it just me! I get pretty much and very easy excited, but also VERY =>> EASY overwhelmed by many »snippets«. Why do say tricks ? Playing guitar is hard work and there are no tricks
@eliguitarlessons3657 ай бұрын
Mostly for the rhyming, but there are "tricks"/ techniques/signature moves that players have.

@@eliguitarlessons365 Wrong! Your need to refer to a dictionary for the correct definition for the word "trick". Please refer to comment above.

@@lewisaveryfiler7087 In colloquial terms, "tips and tricks" is a process or technique that makes life easier to manage or more convenient. "Tip" can mean advice on how to do something better, or a helpful hint or piece of inside information. "Trick" can mean a method to do something better, or a deceitful or cunning action or plan. Thank you.

@@eliguitarlessons365 "Tips" are very different from "tricks. By definition, colloquialisms do not alter the true meaning of a word and are only applicable to to a very limited demographic from which a viewer accepts and applies a "colloquialism". . If all that was needed was the awareness of "a trick" in your videos, everyone that viewed and applied such Tricks would be a skilled and proficient player. Or instead, would I have to learn "another" trick. And " another" after that such a a magician must do. Where does it end. I contend with hard work, dedication, commitment, and hard practice. That is unless of course one's goals is to generate and promote KZbin views. Buy a dictionary friend. There are no shortcuts or tricks to being a proficient and knowledgeable player. Saying otherwise is a disservice to those that have invested the time and effort.

@@lewisaveryfiler7087 both can exist simultaneously my friend. I don't understand your rude comments over me using a common expression for tutorials. You're entitled to your opinion of course, but you don't get to tell others how they can use language, and of course I'm trying to grab and audiences attention; this is KZbin. I'm sorry if that distracted from the free lesson.
