Nicely done, very clean! I'm one of those that, when given the option between building a wonder or defeating all enemies, I go with the latter. Also, my smooth brain thought that when playing this scenario, I had to wait 400 years before I won if I built a wonder. Turns out I can't read.

I did not play this nor know exactly the conditions, you want to kill him without changing him to enemy? Have you tried mangonel attack ground? :D i know it slows down the wonder though.

When this popped up in my recommendations, my first thought was "how did he manage to build and defend a Wonder and win by Wonder victory in just 8 minutes?" XD Nice work! I didn't think winning that way, and so quickly, would be even possible!

Nice micro at 24:33, btw you could land aronnd his feitoria or 2 tc but you need to travel around not straight path from south or you could land easily just south of his dock without much resistance. Btw I never thought you can win by only training sabatuers because it takes so long to produce as you said. Fun fact: explosive traps are also stationary saboteurs but you can't click or move. May be next speedrun with mori, saboteurs against initial enemies and against rest with traps? 11

When i was a kid, i saw Charlemagne as this naked axe throwing barbarian man unting a kingdom through AOE2. I feel silly looking back after i learned the real history through other games 🤣

Nice work, you're very fast! When I play campaigns I reminisce on playing them as a kid and play super slow and gather up a ton of resources for no good reason and mass up a massive army even tho it's not even necessary. :)

I don't know the campaign and I'm no AOE2 expert but I'm surprised this is WR. I noticed you don't use hot keys and 2 gold miners were mining the tile furthest from the mining camp. Doesn't this add up to several dozens of seconds lost? Maybe the specific conditions you gave in the description happen so rarely altogether that it allows a good-yet-perfectible run to be WR? Or maybe you are using a new strategy, so more WRs are expected?

It really helps if you use the range mods for castles, towers and tcs for most campaigns. And yes commentary is great, makes it your own special screening! Great play!

Really nice one. Basically i did follow similar style to yours and finished my run around 48 or 49 mins(don't remember clearly it was few months ago) but i didn't realise you can finish faster with mangonel trick. You can get unlucky with mori at times if you are late and he builds his 3rd castle which could be around his explosive traps away from your cannon galleon range. I feel going withTakeda is easiest because if you choose any other faction then they would be the hardest opponent with expansion they do with chokepoint around their bridge where they build all castles. WIth takeda you can weaken Uesugi like you did which is 2nd strongest faction. Oda and mori are the weakest because they spend most of their resources on army and won't have much eco til 40 mins game time and chosokabe and otomo are isolated on islands so navy can crush and cannon galleons can take of their tc on your land.

Yes i remember early game micro is important for first big battle. Early elite cannon galleon tech is key against BBT. I used to wait for first 5 mins before massing ships. btw really well played. Just recently few hours ago i saw Chazb did beat your run with new record of 13:53.

Really Nice. Funny thing is you didn't need to kill skraeling kings to unlock Karlsefni (which is scenario name too). When i landed initially at the same spot as you did for first tc i didn't like because there is not much space but then i realized the tight space would be good for defence against yellow. So i went for the spot with berries. Also i thought you have to repair your ship somewhat before travelling from iceland to greenland. I think you could be slightly faster by ignoring their docks in the end because you only need to destroy barracks, archery range and monasteries to win.
