Not sure what Old Town Kayak that you’re using, but it looks like a Loon Angler 106 since you mentioned the Cargo Capacity. I purchased an Old Town Loon 126 Angler. I also have a couple Creekooler 15qt, and 30qt. I found that the 15qt easily fit between the Foot Braces. The smaller Creekooler Pup might also work for your Loon 106 Angler. Nice video, good tips! I have much of the same items, but different manufacturers.

Love the contractors trash bad tip! When I bought my 12.5 Loon, I thought the back hatch was waterproof. Day trip 1 and found out. Half the time, I leave the cockpit out for more open room. As for the cooler, I'd treat it like an anchor tied to a quick release cleat you can easily detach. Personally, I bought a "dry bag" backpack cooler on Amazon. Strap it on the front or shove it forward of my feet.

@@frankmorris7751 nothing worse then finding your stuff wet. I have the ascend H10. Now I can put a cooler in the back of the kayak. So much nicer. So much room for your gear. The wife has her old town. Not sure if there is a name on it. 11’. No storage but can she fly in that thing. Picked it up at a garage sale for 100$. I could get her a Cadillac kayak and she wouldn’t use it. 😂😂

I have the Creekooler Pup 15qt. It will easily fit into the forward area of the Cockpit. It can be used for additional dry storage, or as a cooler.

Not a Tracker boat….. ASCEND® Kayaks is part of White River Marine Group®, the boating division of Bass Pro Shops®. Bass Pro Shops . They’re only one of two coast guard approved kayaks…. Hobie is the other. Ascend H10 is a fantastic vessel. I’ve seen a couple in my day.

Reminds me of my dad letting me do power slides in his early '60s Ford Galaxie on the dirt road that lead to the dump when I was 15. What could be more fun than spinning your wheels on a dirt road with your dad? 😁😁😁 Priceless memories.

Favorite items for the field are the Bergan of Norway 50 liter pack, maxpedition LEO sling pack and my M6 scout in .22lr/.410 for hunting. The Max LEO bag is good for foraging to keep survival kit while out hunting. The Frog Tog rain gear is a great item to add.

All good stuff. I have to watch video again 😅. I can’t believe I didn’t bring rain gear. Love the frog tog. I have quite a few of them. I always wear the bottoms of the legs out. I’m still up in arms on which gun to bring. I love the versatility of the 4/10 but the amount of ammo for the 22 is always in the back of my mind. I need to get off my rear and start making some more videos. Thanks for commenting

Just bought one. The leg straps come with two plastic buckles, you can see them at :28. After I adjusted the straps to my leg, I slid the buckles to the ends of the slack leaving only about 1/2" sticking out. So no excess slack flapping to tape or cut off. Thanks for the vid. 👍

I switched away from tactical backpacks, too small and uncomfortable to wear over long distance. Add foam sleep pads and a cheap down sleeping bag. Get all of the stuff hanging off the packs into the packs. They make too much noise and get snagged on everything. Get rid of all the gadgets, just useless weight. Switch out to sawyer squeeze water filters, no moving parts and way lighter. Go to a goretex bivy bag and a poncho for shelter and rain gear. Just a few suggestions, but good trip and getting it down outside.

now I can do night ops for airsoft. this thing for $35 on sale is a steal and quite overkill for something where i only need to be able to see 100 yards out. also 4 hours per battery is long enough since the night games are 4 hours. they go until midnight and i can still see fine at from 8:00-9:00 without a light. it will be here in the morning.

I really like this radio. I`m in a fringe area for AM stations and it`s very sensitive and gets the weak daytime stations. Sounds great too. Nice clean signal with a very pleasing tone to my drumming damaged ears. A portable folding solar panel can keep it charged and charge your 18650 flashlight batteries off grid.

Hello Yooper! When I worked in the cabinet shop, we always used Titebond glue ...... you can clean up with a damp or wet cloth with no problem!! You don't need the acetone which can be a health hazard. Titebond III is water proof once dried.
