The introduction didn't land but only because nobody knew what he was talking about. I knew and can confirm he was speaking facts.

This is sooo true! I'm from India and been living in Melbourne for six years now. I was on a flight from Melbourne to Auckland and there was stormy weather - the plane was in the worst turbulence I've ever encountered and honestly I was terrified. The elderly Aussie gentleman next to me calmly looks out of the window and then looks at me with a very deadpan expression goes, 'We got a bit of rain out there, hey?' I'm sweating and holding the armrests and I say, 'The turbulence is so bad!' he nods and says, 'Yeah, it is a bit bumpy but she'll be right!' I say, 'who is she?' he says, 'I dunno. It's just what we say, isn't it?' and I just started laughing because he was so nonchalant that it was hilarious for me!

Mate...one guy I met shrugged off about five "Any-Way"s IN A ROW!...had me standing there in the middle of a busy shopping centre WHILE I WAS SICK WITH A COLD/FLU...and eventually I had to walk away mid-sentence with VIOLENT COUGHING

Irish here. Love Australia and the Aussies. So straight forward and pure. It's when a complete stranger greets you with g'day mate. Something very special about that. Been all over the country and never had a bad experience.

Yeah. What's so hard with putting street signs up at every intersection on all sides for both streets. I swear it was that way when I was young. Now they don't do it for main roads at all. If you're not a local resident, when a street sign is needed, how are you meant to know?

Had an irish teacher like that back in the 70s. The only word we understood was "bonehead", everything else was gibberish.
