Great video, but take your mouth away from the microphone.

Thanks for the video Andrew. It looks terrific. I agree with you, the set seems good value compared to the price of the individual components but is the Buffet Car a different shade to the coaches that come with the set? I thought the coaches with the set should be identical to R4826-R4830? Thanks, Stuart.

I think there has been some variations in the shades used for the Hornby Teak coaches. I bought a secondhand buffet coach because the one currently available new has what seems to me to be an odd pattern to the wood grain. I’d have thought they would just have changed the numbers on each batch but it does seem they change the printing a little each time

@@andrewblades8368 Thanks Andrew. Do you have the Hornby R number of your buffet car / or let me know the running number on it please? I'm thinking of treating myself to the set and then expanding to form a bigger rake and want to make sure I can still get the matching coaches. Cheers.

@@westerncourier5545 I don’t know the R number as I bought the buffet coach second hand and it was unboxed. The running number is 21609. It has Flying Scotsman roof boards on it so I’d guess it came out of a train pack

Were you able to get it running after soldering the wires?
@andrewblades83684 жыл бұрын
I’m no good at soldering so I’ll be taking it to my local model shop for repair. I’ve no got around to that yet
