A journey on Peak Rail from Rowsley South to Matlock

A short video of my visit on the 9th March 2019 to Peak Rail. They were running an Austerity Tank and a Class 44 Peak loco top and tail. Theres a large site to look around at Rowsley South but the shop was shut while I was there so no idea what that’s like. There’s good connections to the national rail network at Matlock by simply crossing the footbridge. Along the line the scenearry is generally pleasant if not exactly spectacular. Tickets were good value with Ann adult return including unlimited trips. The buffet car was well stocked and very reasonably priced.
