Great system James! Just out of curiosity, Whats about the coldest it gets in your area on an average winter? What about a cold one? On average mine drop to around -14c here in my part of europe, and i mostly leave my trees unwrapped, the leaves get somewhat burnt, but they come back well! Great video James!

hi James...I forgot what video it was. You had a TON of little T. fortunei saplings near its mother. Given the climate in Southern Ontario, when did those break through the soil? I am guessing spring-summerish? And how were they able to make it through the winter? Were they behind the large protective insulator?
@TheJames2929Күн бұрын
@@CascadiaPalms yeah they popped up in the middle of the summer as the summer went on more and more kept coming, and the ones that are at the base of the big mother in the back are close enough that they are still inside the box when I put the box up for the winter right now, they are still out. I could do a video on them if you would like.

I’ve grown palms in Tennessee since 2007. I’ve found that trunk girth seems to have a connection to soil moisture. At least with the windmills I grow. Genetics also. But I think it’s a lot to do with overall moisture. Great palm update and keep up the good work!
