Hello, I saw you use mod podge for you HxH felt patch, is that what you're using here? I want to make some felt patches for hoodies/sweaters but I'm not sure how the felt will behave in the washer/dryer. Looks like mod podge is a water based adhesive so I'm also worried about that as well. Have you tried washing and machine drying any of your clothing that have these patches? Thanks in advance, and awesome patches love Choso!

idrk about the felt, but maybe you could use fabric glue on the back of the patches, because it's designed to be used on clothing.

HEAVY FELT... ok that makes more sense. I've been using crafting felt (light 15 cent stuff from hobby lobby), although the patches come out fine, was always wondering why others patches came out a bit more heavy duty feeling. alright, i'll give that stuff a try IF I can find it.. because hobby lobby don't carry it :P

Thank you for such a detailed video. I'm working on making a life sized doll of a character and wasn't sure how to do his face. I thought about emrboidering it directly to the doll, but wanted to know also about making his face iron-on. I love the tips that you offer. As a first timer, it's good to know little tricks for keeping things stable and different types of stitches.

Wow I had no idea patches could be done by hand. This was amazing to watch. You’re very talented. Well done!
@starlightrai3 ай бұрын
Yea it also gives a bit more control when changing directions in a stitch and you can probably use many hand embroidery techniques to make it feel 3d.

Brilliant video thank you! Just a quick question - if i were to draw directly onto the sticky stabiliser, can i use a fine black pen or should i just a pencil? Does that cause problems of ink running when it comes to washing the stabiliser out? Thanks a lot

I never thought to use felt for making patches, what an awesome idea! One thing I would like to ask, how thick is the felt you’re using in this video?
@oyechulo Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure of the exact thickness, but I used Kunin's premium felt from Joann Fabrics which is labeled "heavy weight"
