Yea it also gives a bit more control when changing directions in a stitch and you can probably use many hand embroidery techniques to make it feel 3d.

Thank you for such a detailed video. I'm working on making a life sized doll of a character and wasn't sure how to do his face. I thought about emrboidering it directly to the doll, but wanted to know also about making his face iron-on. I love the tips that you offer. As a first timer, it's good to know little tricks for keeping things stable and different types of stitches.

I learned some really useful pointers from this video. It's genius how you work on small details like the hands while using a few threaded needles with different colored floss going back and forth as needed for shading. Thanks a lot!

Brilliant video thank you! Just a quick question - if i were to draw directly onto the sticky stabiliser, can i use a fine black pen or should i just a pencil? Does that cause problems of ink running when it comes to washing the stabiliser out? Thanks a lot

Thanks for all the info, I just started teaching myself embroidery by tracing the logos of my favorite bands. I was thinking of stitching them onto my jacket once they're done so that they can be removed if I ever want to rearrange. Could I glue a piece of fabric or something to the back of the patch instead of adhesive paper to keep it secure?
@oyechulo
@oyechulo Жыл бұрын
You're welcome! I normally finish off the back of my embroideries with mod podge if I don't include an iron on backing, and I'm sure adding fabric would work well too

You are amazing!!!! I have never done this before. I wanted to try and see if I can do it, but I am not good at drawing. Any ideas for someone who has never done this before? How do you get the drawing if you can draw to save your life? :)

I think they maybe be tracing and/or printing the patterns. 🙂
@oyechulo
@oyechulo Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! You can absolutely trace whatever you'd like to embroider, that's how I got started. Now I like to use water soluble stabilizer because I can print right on the stabilizer and add that to the fabric.
