I ordered a real cheap jig from the craft store, if I use it much I will get the metal version from the lapidary store.

Hi. I appreciate your instructions, especially considering people with dexterity issues. 😀🙏

So glad I found your channel today. I've only just started learning/experimenting with jewellery-making. I have nerve issues so my hands shake constantly & I always end up making everything larger than I mean to/they need to be, so I can totally relate. Hugs & best wishes from India! XOXOXO 💖

This is great.. i was thinking if there is a diy T pins then i sae this video. Good thing is that i have all the supplies needed.
I also viewed another video, which suggests this tool only works for 22 gauge and thinner wire.
@joannclupper79023 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I purchased this many years ago to use for wire jewelry, but didn't really investigate it. I have recently become involved with quilling, and there is a crinkler tool that comes with quilling that I appreciate. However, remembering this tool I pulled it out and found your video. This tool works just as well with quilling paper, the only difference is you hold the paper to feed it beside where you would put the wire through.

All I heard for the first 2.5 minutes was dexterry-shoes and kept wondering WHAT THE HELL dexterry-shoes were . . . until I could finally figure out that she might mean "Dexterity issues". Is that correct? Hmmmmmmmm . . . (later there was a brain-frock mentioned. New Style of dress?) 🤪🙃😝

Loved your tutorial but it would be nice for you to have something covering your table that would dampen the noise of the stones and material hitting the table. A piece of cloth or something to keep the noise down.

I’ve never heard the term “spoonie” before but I do have a chronic illness called Hashimoto’s Disease and brain fog is a problem - also dexterity is not what it used to be. That said, knowing there is someone who, like me, struggles with illness but loves to create, I think you are my kind of fellow crafter and since I’m pretty much a beginner at this, I’m thankful to have found you. I subscribed and hope to see more videos that give me a chance to learn from someone who doesn’t speed through and leave me in their dust! Thank you for this video! I look forward to the next one!
@KayleighKavanaghJewellery6 жыл бұрын
Sandra Hayley hi hun. Spoonie is a term coming from "the spoon theory" for explaining limited energy levels to people without chronic illnesses. It doesn't fit perfectly for all conditions, mine included, but it is an easy way to explain to others. I'd recommend googling it as many people find it helpful. There's also one about having a gorilla on your back, but it didn't catch on as much as spoonies did. I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial and I love connecting with people like myself in this situation. I was about to mention FB group but I see you already joined ❤️ feel free to message me if you ever need any help or would like a specific tutorial xx

You mentioned the metal jig called the thing a ma jig, that's the one I have and it works great. I would recommend just spending a little more. All the pegs fit perfectly and easily. No struggling involved :)

When watching a tutorial I like a picture of the finished product first so I can decide right away if it's something I want to try. I also like a good look at the entire finished project once the tutorial comes to an end. Giving a video tutorial is a bit like giving a How-to Speech: You tell them what you're going to do then you show them how to do it and finish with a quick recap of what you did. So, to begin it's like "In this class you will learn how to make a netted bezel for a round cabochon. I will show you how to create the base, weave the net and secure the cabochon. The materials and tools you need are this, this, and that." (Insert picture here or have the supplies arrayed on your work surface and pick each one up or point at it as you mention it) Then say something like, "You will also find a list of these items below in the description." Check out Nicole Hanna's channel. I've been following and buying tutorials from her for years. The following tutorial of hers is a classic example of a well executed lesson: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWPRiHigoaasnqc Have you checked out Pinterest.com? I recommend you open yourself an account then use it to point to your individual videos and to your KZbin homepage. Try a search on Pinterest for Business On Pinterest and you'll find lots of information on how to drive traffic to your KZbin channel. Also - if you do a search on KZbin for How To Succeed on KZbin, you'll find some great tutorials on how to make your channel work for you. Wishing you loads of success!!! I think you can make remarkable strides and be even more successful.

Bless your heart and thank you for bravely putting this video out there. I and many of my friends deal with fibromyalgia (FMS) and many have other handicaps stacked on top of that like you do. People who are mobile and can get around don't understand how debilitating FMS can be. Your story is eye-opening and heartwarming. I am so proud of you. It makes my heart sing to see you smile and your eyes sparkle when you talk of taking back control of your life by doing and sharing something you enjoy doing. You are an inspiration and I am going to share your story. Have you looked into Patreon, www.patreon.com/ ? I would be willing to donate a wee bit if you choose to set up an account there.

Great tutorial! This style of wire wrap would be good for men's jewelry as well as women's. Would you be able to provide a link on where to purchase the pliers you're using, or could you spell out the name. I'm having trouble finding it using how I would spell it. Thanks!
@KayleighKavanaghJewellery6 жыл бұрын
amzn.to/2BWQhBq they have different names at different places, so here's a link to a pair like mine. usually they're called looping pliers or bail making pliers and you include something like multi-step or 6 step - "6 step bail making pliers" and they come up. theyre are lots of different versions, with fewer steps and longer barrels, but these are my personal favourites xx
