Do you mean the one from my video thumbnail? I've had that one a long time. It was originally a prize from a crests event (aka collect stars) in spring 2019 and it's come back in some events since. I think the most recent appearance might have been in Brilliant Bargains a couple of months ago so If you want to get it, I recommend saving up gems in case it appears there again.

Ah, if you look closely at the maxed thestral interaction, the main character doesn't seem to actually see it since they're trying to feel around for it. However, there is also a big spoiler which should change this (look up year 6 chapter 18 if you really want to know) but they didn't bother to change the interaction after that.

Yes, I have all 47 of the reserve creatures so far. I was considering doing an updated video with the newer ones but I think I'll wait until they reach 50

@@yaimeemaria2169 I've finished leveling some more creatures since I made the previous video but there are several that I'm still leaving at level 9 for Full Marks. Since the tiles in that event sometimes want you to bond with 3 creatures but only creatures that aren't already maxed will count

I finally managed to level him up enough to do the exclusive side quest with him earlier this month! Still need to edit that together and post it. Hopefully, over the weekend!

Oh, that's the hairstyle that came with the merperson outfit I'm wearing there. It was an old Magical Milestones outfit from late 2020. And I remember a lot people wanted that hairstyle without the hood but I don't think they ever made an exact one like it minus the hood

Ah, no real money spent but a lot of time. I started playing March 2019 and it took about 2 years to catch up with collecting all the creatures!

It's because I've been playing regularly since March 2019. It took me a couple of years to buy all the pets and creatures. But after I caught up, the books started piling up because they only release about 1 new creature a month and there weren't many pet skins I wanted

Oh, I had originally downloaded the game through Mistplay although I don't bother to use it anymore. I think it only counted new games you installed through the app. It was okay but slow and took a bunch of games I tried out to get enough points to trade for a $10 gift card

They're still usually releasing a new creature each month but it seems pretty random what they choose. They have added 6 more since I made the video, including a matagot, a chupacabra, and a leucrotta. And a demiguise was used in a side quest last year but they haven't added it as a reserve creature

haha Yep, that's basically it. I've heard a fan theory from other players that the main character is a descendant of Jacob and Queenie from Fantastic Beasts (because they're a legilimens like Queenie and have a brother named Jacob). It could also help explain why they're good with creatures if Newt was their uncle.

It's mostly just playing consistently for so long (I started March 2019). I always skip 2-3 days for FM to get an easier group but I've never taken an extended hiatus. I'm f2p in this game as well (heard too many stories of people losing their energy and gem ads after purchases) and it took me a couple of years to catch up with buying all the creatures and pets

@@lucysmith7827 I pause a lot to grind events and do the timed side quests so I don't really have a good answer on how long the main story takes. Year 5 and beyond is much longer compared to the first 4 years. Also, year 7 is still currently being released and is up to chapter 33 so far. I'm 20 chapters behind so maybe I'll catch up towards the end of the year

@@lucysmith7827 Yeah, the later years are being dragged out, probably to keep the game going longer and make money. There are a lot of timed side quests too and at some points, there are 2-3 which can trigger in the same main story chapter. Hmm... I think it might vary from event to event. I remember the previous one for the mid-Autumn Festival had a free gift of 100 extra items for making wishes and that was a big help for being able to complete the second set without spending diamonds. But this one didn't have an extra gift like that. For this event specifically, I calculated the expected value of 10 hourglasses as 61.9 star tokens based on the listed drop rates. Both sets cost a total of 4,535 tokens, which should take 733 hourglasses with average luck. I got 260 hourglasses (plus a few more after I recorded the video) for free. So, I would have needed to buy about 470 to finish both sets. At 450 diamonds for 10 hourglasses, that would be 21,150 diamonds. Of course, it can be higher or lower though depending on your luck and how many free hourglasses you collect over the event.

I think the game just wasn't designed to be very realistic in that aspect. The creatures are pretty popular and they keep releasing a new one every month or so. Personally, collecting the creatures is one of my favorite parts of the game. Also, the main character is a ridiculous Mary Sue who's good at everything. For example, in the quidditch storyline, they make the house team shortly after seeing their first match ever, and end up learning to play chaser, beater, and keeper; seeker will presumably be next when they get to season 4.

Keep in mind that some of them aren’t exactly “domesticated” or maybe even tamed for that matter. Most of them are generally appeased. They could probably end you if you did things the wrong way, but at the moment they’re at least indifferent, you are in a sense their caretaker.

If we're going with the games story, I can kind of understand the Chinese Fireball being ok around people somewhat, since she had an 'owner' before she was sent away to be seen to but then she was bought to deal with intruders so that kind of defeats the purpose XD

@@vcauguste8771 One of the reasons I'm miffy about these kinds of games, the character has to be kind of if not fully mary sue so that everyone can try things out/role play, although I would have certainly not minded waiting until a certain year for quidditch tryouts. Part of me thinks the people just threw everything out at once because they needed to do something else or to appease the crowd But all that aside, some of the stuff is really good, especially the creatures

The MC spent 7 years with Hagrid's help to tame the creatures so I am not surprised.

I've only seen the movies and don't particularly have a favorite from the main series. If counting Fantastic Beasts, then I'd say Newt.
