I need to replace the upper right Heater Door Actuator, can I get at it from the top by removing the dash?

How long did the total repair take you? And can an amateur do it with little to no serious problems

behind the seal is FWD shaft bearing GM# 24203440, the inner ring in the case, don't grab it when removing the seal.

Great job! Now I know where to look on my 2012 Impala. Going in for rear brakes in a few days so I’ll see how bad they screw me over to fix my e brake. I would grease up all those cables and threaded adjustment parts as long as you are under there!👍

I think you forgot the second rubber O-ring for the cap bolt. It gets two, plus the washer.

Nicely Done. Here's a way I replaced my CV axle. Much like you did but you don't need to remove the lower ball joint. Remove the tie rod , and wack out the spline nuts holding the knuckle to the strut. The knuckle will then rotate out way far enough to get the CV axle in. But it's just a matter of preference. For the benefit of others the ball joint separator wont work on the Impala.The CV axle sits so close to the ball joint top nut you cant even get the nut fully off the ball joint stud with out first getting the BJ stud loose and dropping it some. What a Pain!!! Wack it to heck with a hammer, if still stuck use a propane torch, better yet MAP gas, to heat around it but be careful cause you can melt your BJ boot if not replacing the BJ. I needed a clear picture of something and your high res video was great. Thank you. Nicely Done !

Maybe try using some Brake Klean on it and then a lil W2-40. After the W2-40 works it way in, it would probably help with cleaning and breaking the stubborn nuts loose.

You definitely over toghtned that bolt lol. Somehow u passed the torque mark.

I wont be reusing my reusabke gasket the FACT that it was actually leaking so i dont think tjat would be smart.

And help me realize and remember the second hole on the bracket is for the threaded part of that cable to go through to then connect to it. Much appreciation!

Ok doing this on an 05 Buick exactly same deal thanks so much big help I replaced all three cables and the new bracket so now no for sure not to remove the crimp clamp over that tensioner nut mechanism on the rear drive side thanks again!

Ty, had to repair my mechanism the wires were ok but somehow the brackets were broken and couldn’t figure out how to remove it from the housing

Thank you for this video I couldn't figure out how to take it apart. My high beam shutter wires were all broken and I need them to pass inspection despite never using high beams. I think they outsourced the wiring design to an insane asylum for these. Cheap brittle heat sensitive wiring and wire it like a 10th owner stereo install AND add some hidden torx screws? Love BMWs but this was ridiculous lol

Just did exactly what happened here. I want to help whoever needs it. To get the bolt out if it brakes off, you need to use a extractor and a tiny drill bit, MAKE SURE U do the center of the bolt. Lastly when you put it back on I was told by multiple knowlegebape people that you hand tighten 4 bolts in star pattern and repeat that until u tighten them by hand and do it until you feel it tight. You want them tight but not 10 ft lbs .. i broke off a NEW bolt doing that. So PLEASE dont do that to yourself. Be sure to clean the gasket and pan and inspect well. Also if you wanna get new bolts you can find them at Autozone in a pack for like 4 or 8. I used the M6-1.0 X 20mm Flange Bolts. Much LUV get that done and stay safe !

I Have An 04 And My Cable Came Off I Tried Opening The Latch From The inside of The Car and The Hood Only Popped up A little Bit! I Think The Cable Got Stretch Out And Came Off?.. got it fixed and it Works fine now.
