Setting 2 is too aggressive for you? Do you have sensitive skin? 3 is usually the lowest I go and I start with my first pass at setting 6. For me the Ambassador is excellent!

You could see after 2-3 strokes your face softened that it was better than your first shave with it. Nothing beats that feeling lol.

I think I'd like it more if the Athena had more efficiency for the amount of blade feel I perceived.

Athena is mild with minor blade feel but quite efficient. it is way less blade feel than the titanium black bird lite and as efficient. it is a heavier razor, so a light touch with correct shaving angle is the key to have a comfortable and effective shave, YMMV.

Hello, Just got it today, but have a very off note to it. Something nutty/grapey before getting the obvious smokey leathery raspberry. Is it the case for you? I think it might be the kokum butter but it's supposed to be odorless. Bad batch? For the rest definitely a TL dupe (that I own).

I've never tried these, but out of all of the blades I did try, the absolute worst, the literal trash were the king c. gillette razor blades. I replaced the blade after 2 shaves just to use them all before throwing them, and every time I shaved, I thought to myself that it should be illegal to even sell them. The absolute chinese dull trash 🚮

Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? Any recommendations for a stronger scented Zingari soap and splash? Have ordered some HC&C chillin' soap and splash over the weekend, again another 1st time use of HC&C products 😀

SV is a top tier soap. Since I have facial hair that needs to be detailed and trimmed, the residual slickness of a shaving soap is important. SV has that for DAYS!! Also, I only have the 70th Anniversary which is stellar both in performance and scent. But, I ordered the sample pack of aftershaves with all their scents. There is not a single one that I don't want. And did I mention that the performance of the soap is top notch by every measure? Great video, by the way

You could definitely argue that, but it is something easily remedied once you know, and the razor itself really does shave wonderfully.

That almost doesn't even look like a synthetic by how well they made it! I will have to give it a go... do you think there's a difference in lather between synthetic and badger? Cheers and happy shaving

I don't believe there's a difference in the lather as an end product, but different brush materials may have you building the lather a little differently.

How does this timeless compare to Rockwell 6 whether it be .68 or .95? In terms of how smooth it shaves and shave angle? Rockwell is my favorite razor and i want something similar but different. I have thick whiskers and I'm hoping that the way this timeless clamps the blade close to the edge might provide perhaps an upgrade to my Rockwell.

The .76 was my first RR purchase. I like it a lot but have been curious about bumping up to the .84. Any idea what the actual blade exposure is on either the .76 or .84? Can't find any info on the number and you're the first I've ever heard indicate that it's positive. Thanks!
