Final Verdict on the Rex Konsul Razor

Fantastic review! Glad you've come to love it ❤ our newest 3 of slant Sentry is based on konsul @ setting 4. That's where I feel the sweet spot is. The posts are as long as possible without hitting the guard. I think within 3-5 shaves, loading becomes second nature. Thx!

Im new to this all but using the Rex Envoy seems a bit much blade feel for my liking. Safe to say this is much smoother it sounds like. Wonder how this would compare to the blackbird Lite? My goal is a versatile razor, dont really care about BBS since I havent really shaved for years now. Just trimming with my head clippers to keep roughly a 5-7 day shave look.

How does it compare with the Blackbird titanium? is there a specific setting that would match the Blackbird titanium's performance?

There’s no equivalent setting on the Konsul that matches the combination of blade feel and efficiency on the Blackbird.

Very nice review. I have the Ambassador. While it’s an extremely high quality razor, I find it to be too aggressive for my liking, even on the lowest settings.

Thank you for the video, have a new Konsul in the rhodium arriving this week. Will begin at lvl 1 and 2 : ) I'm using the new Ultima base A&E Signature, Woods and Spices, and Vanilla in the glass jars, along with many House Of Mammoth beautifully engineered scents: Indigo Tobacconist Smash Rumble Uitwaaien Dammusi Voices Hygge only recently discovered in the tusk base along with your help John. Everett is wonderfully captured sunshine you must try it. : ) Subscribed. Also have the HOM Beloved, yet it's simply great and not spectacular like the other House of Mammoth offerings, an outlier like you said, so I'll give it away to a friend. : )

I’ll admit I’m still a sceptic with the whole slant business. But aside from that it looks like a well functioning and well made piece of kit.

For me with thick course stubble a slant helps a bit. I can use a milder blade such as GSB with a slant. Konsul or 37c. Cuts with less resistance. YMMV.
