Thank you SO MUCH for this informative, well explained video!! I was not able to sustain the lip trill and did not quite understand what kind of sensations to feel when doing the lip trill. Your videos have brought awareness to me on the areas that I can 'hear' myself and what sensations I can lean into when vocalising comfortably. After practising and integrating the tips in your videos into my practice, I am now better able to sustain a lip trill + vocalise with a cleaner sound with more support. Looking forward to more content :D

What do I do if my voice is terrible and I have just a tiny range… like I can’t change my anatomy
@AprilTeniente-eu1mjАй бұрын
I understand!! It’s hard for me to be myself and sing in a normal voice, and one time I sounded like Barney when I sang some songs, it sounded weird and funny and hard to do because of talking in rhythm. I need to practice singing songs without the talking voice and be myself and sing like myself in a normal voice.

WOW. This technique is life altering, no joke. Not only does it let me sing higher, but much clearer as well; and not just during singing, but in regular speech it helps me speak clearer and more confidently. Thanks a ton!

What I’ve always liked about you tutorial is that you explained what your voice is doing in the exercise and what to look for specifically if you are doing it wrong that’s the most important part. I didn’t know prior to listening to you that you want to control suppress the“ swallowing muscles” just knowing that I’d be able to feel up under my jaw when that happens makes all the difference. Prior to knowing that I was just making the funny sound and maybe I was doing the exercise right now thanks to you KNOW exactlyif I’m doing it right or wrong

I too am proof that anyone can sing, I was always told I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket and to not waste singing teacher's time. Well with perseverance on my part and an excellent teacher I made it. I have just completed a masters degree in music with voice at age 63

I have people say I have perfect pitch, but I don't have vibrato. All the tips I read, watch, or hear to relax don't make any sense. It gets irritating. I used to be told vibrato is when a person can't hold the note and when you can it's control! What you provided is the same generic explanation that doesn't work. Also, when people do runs. I was told it was because they can't hold a note for long and forced it to be accepted. Unless more explanation of how to do vibrato is provided, this is a fail!

I have a very naturally raspy chest voice and a weak, quiet head voice. My chest voice is full of so much rasp beyond my control and I've been trying to obtain a mixed voice for so long now. Do I need a clear chest tone before I can mix with my head voice?

Hello Sir, My name is Greg Brown. I am a full time musician. I've been teaching piano and voice lessons over 26 years. If I include teaching voice part time then I've been doing that over 40 45 years. I'm gonna take you at your word when you say anybody can sing but Mannnnn, it takes a ton of patience. I have to say that I'm of the believe that a person can be tone deaf. over the years I've had students of all ages, and try as I might they could not replicate single pitches. What's even deeper than that is sometimes they would actually correctly copy the pitch and I would ask them,"was that correct"? And they would say "I don't know" I feel like rhythm can be taught because you can relate it to a physical movement, hence when to come in on a song can be taught. My hats off to you though for the patience that took to work with someone over 6 months. Don't think I could,(or would want to ) do that.

There are countless singers that have mastered the art of singing and I'm sorry to say this but most just don't have it. If your face scares people, you'll never be a model, even with the right attitude, confidence, etc. Likewise, if you're 4'11 with brittle bones and a crooked spine, you'll never play in the NBA. And if your voice sounds like an ice pick, practice will only make you sound like a polished ice pick. Trust your instincts. Singing coaches just want your money/views.
