I purchased the 80v Atlas two years ago and was pleased the first year. On the second year, the chain oil leaked very bad and I found that the oil tank had several cracks in it. I made several attempts to order a new oil tank and was told by Harbor Freight that the oil tanks were not available. There are NO oil tanks in stock or the supply chain and they cannot be ordered from anyone - no aftermarkets! I disassembled the saw and made my best attempts at repairing the cracks, and replacing the old tank. I am holding my breath to see how long that will last. I am not happy about the lack of replacement parts that are available. I had a similar problem with one of their air compressors a few years ago. No way to repair it. Replacement only.

Why don’t people show where to connect the the compressor hose. Key element in this project.
@diytito81654 ай бұрын
For me I connected mine to a standard hose fitting that came with the kit. If you have professional install, likely there is some other means to do such.

Leave it to a "modern" manufacturing company to utilize an essentially non-serviceable fuse so the average consumer has to throw the whole thing out. I absolutely revile that way of thinking and doing "business" (I consider it more extortion of the consumer).

If the holes were not tapped in the kawasaki then how was it mounted in its previous frame ? I'm thinking of a swap as well between a kawa or gcv190.

So four years ago…. This engine was $204 or whatever on eBay. They are now $430+ dollars. Hahaha…. Gee HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

That doesn’t look like the Kawasaki FJ motors I’ve seen. But damn $200 is a deal, it’s 2024 now and now that engine is almost $500 😮

Grab a can of silicone spray and they’ll slide in without removing the coils. Still a pita, but saves time.

Wow thank you so much! This was my exact problem! I would have never been able to figure that out on my own. Just curious if anyone else experienced this but I’m wondering if my food processor is spinning slower after this fix. It’s hard to remember what it was like before and I don’t have another one to compare it to… wondering if a bad soldering job can do that.

Excellent video. And excellent choice in music the first one sounded like Van Halen. Who is it? Did you by chance look a harness that would connect through the factory plugs behind each light? It’s basically like adding a TEE. Keep up the vids

If you want to use these for 2 or more years you need to go with the higher grade covers. ShelterLogic makes 15.5 oz. (per sq. yd.) and 21.5 oz. (per sq. yd.) replacement covers. They are expensive but are guaranteed for 10 and 15 yrs., respectively.

Thank you for this! I'm wondering though, is there any way to put in a resettable fuse for the future so that if it blows, I won't have to go through the soldering steps again? I know nothing about fuses or their specs, so I wouldn't know how to choose an appropriate one.

I put together a 12 by 20 shed. The material was excellent. The instructions were clear. The only problem I had was sliding the pieces together. I had to grind down the burrs that were on the pieces. More than 80% of the frame had to have the burrs ground down .
