i have a 1992 Toyota soarer, i'm looking for parts that fit for ac system, i am looking for the part that connects to the evaporator core under the hood, the line from the expansion valve goes into the top of it. please share name and part number if you know. Thxs

5:56 The gasket your put between the car converter & resonator. Was that some sort of thick adaptor/gasket you brought separately or did you use the regular gasket that came with the pipes? Mines got a slight gap like it needs a bigger gasket. 🤔

Since i got the exhaust used it had no gaskets. I had to get them all from subispeed. It was a stock cat to 3 inch exhaust gasket.

@@CBrigsMedia thanks for responding! I installed mine last night, it sounds amazing but I feel like it’s too loud in the obnoxious way which isn’t what I normally hear from ppl. I can hardly hear music playing… It wouldn’t been an issue if I didn’t have to drop my son off every morning. 😂 but I’ve seen times when they said an exhaust flange is definitely recommended which I definitely missed out on. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Don’t know what gasket you are referring to but for the catback to attach to the stock cat you need the adapter. All other gaskets will not work due to being different diameters

Because I’m buying a used blitz Cat back exhaust for my wrx, but he doesn’t have the 3 gaskets that comes with it and I’m not sure about the size that I need. So I was thinking if the stock ones could work for it

@@CBrigsMedia I'm a big fan of the 6, I'm sure a lot of people are. Looks like a really fun car to drive. Definitely one of my favorites to drive in GT and Forza. The tie in was perfect, I also felt like there was a little nod to the GT challenges we were doing.

Yeah the outside clips look like I’m going so slow but the wrx hits almost 60mph in 2nd. Thanks man, big things are coming to replace the WRX, but some people might get mad at what I picked. It feels great to be back in Japan glad you caught that. I figured it was the best way to set the stage for the new chapter. The new videos will be something different for sure. Thanks for always being my number one watcher and commenter.

This is after i switched to a single turbo. Went with a drift motion pod filter and a pipe from amazon the fit the available space. Just have to make sure it fits on the front of the turbo.

Why do you have spacers on cross member because the shifter comes up into the cab? You have an inch of pinion angle that’s not supposed to be there😮

That is how i got it when a shop did an auto to manual swap on my soarer. I think he reused the auto crossmember and that is why the spacers were needed.

You will hopefully have a blast doing autocross. These are super fun even with completely stock cars. Don’t be afraid to ask for instructors to help you out.

Do you recommend getting a used one? I wanna get the R400 but its out of my price range. Saw a used one of market place for a reasonable price what do I have to look for when purchasing it

Mine wasn’t a problem used just make sure it is in good condition with all the hardware. Mine didn’t come with hardware or gaskets so you might be in the same boat. The gasket aren’t expensive on subie speed. I’d suggest getting new gaskets anyways if you get a used exhaust.

Does the Soarer 2.5TT use the same rear brake pads and rotors as the 92'-00' USDM SC400?

I purchased sc300 rear brake pads and rotors and they fit mine fine. The front brakes on mine have been converted to ls400 big brakes so I cannot confirm on fronts. I am not sure if the sc400 was different than the sc300 in the rear.

You swapped the heavier springs after 1 drive no break in? I heard another YTer say it felt like a gated shifter. What are your thoughts?

Tbh it was too hard for me to get it into 1st and 5th woth the hard centering springs so I didn’t feel comfortable leaving them in. Once i switched to the soft ones it felt good to me. Way stiffer than oem but not to stiff to not get it into gear.

@@minni1094 i would do it like i did honestly try out the stiff ones for a few drives first since they are pre installed. Swapping them out can be done in the car and doesn’t take too much time. Then you’ll know for sure versus just taking my word and wondering.

@@ImKindaPanda tbh mostly i have just been enjoying driving it and doing preventive maintenance fixes. Those fixes being boring and tedious to film is why I haven’t. Just wanted to enjoy the car without having to film it. Reason for why will come soon so keep watching the vids for updates and whatnot.

Thanks for posting this video, it is helpful to see the process before doing this myself. Are the spacers being used between the frame and transmission mount OEM? I'm doing a AT to tripod R154 (JZX90) as well and expected to need to lower the mount. Your video reminded me that I will need to address that at some point. My swap will be done this winter.

I don’t think the spacers are oem. I don’t remember them being there when mine was Auto. I had a shop do the manual swap while they were doing other work as well so I’m not certain.

Hey mate, know this was a while ago but have a quick question before I start chopping wires, does the black ring with the horn plug serve much purpose? Does everything else work with a custom horn wired in?

All good. So the black ring has some functions (not that i have used) you might need to retain it for turn signal canceling but not sure. I ended up just going with an external horn button on mine. Hope this helped

If i shifted at the right rpm i would get a pop or 2 sometimes and also one when i rev matched down shifted just right. But i still had the stock cat so I’m sure there would be more with a complete exhaust versus just a catback.

The last time i tried to order it from Toyota they said that it is discontinued now. You could easily make one with a piece of aluminum.

Left the cam gears at zero and adjusted the timing that they needed to in the ecu.

I bought the catback used with no gaskets, so i ordered gaskets from subiespeed and installed new ones.
