But this verb is conjugated like the verb "gustar" so the structure of sentences is unusual for english speakers. Almost to the point where the subject seems to be the object. So you cant say ..."yo falto dos tomates". You need to say .."me faltan dos tomates". The verb refers to the tomatoes and not the person who is cooking.

Good question! 🙂 La preposicón "A" no es usada exclusivamente con objetos indirectos. También podemos usarla para indicar un destino. Por ejemplo: "Yo voy A clase los martes en la mañana." y con ese ejemplo podemos hacer otro: "Yo asisto A clase los martes en la mañana" -> In this case, asistir = to attend y ahora podemos hacer este otro ejemplo: "Ayer yo falté a la clase". I hope this explanation helps! But let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

Muy buena pregunta! 🙂 Puede significar "mucho", pero también puede significar "suficiente". Dependerá del contexto y de la tonalidad usados en el mensaje. En mi opinion personal, creo que es más comúnmente usado como sinonimo de "mucho". Muchas gracias por hacer una pregunta bastante buena! 🙂👍

Buena pregunta! 🙂 "Me hace falta" as a feeling still expresses the absence of something. In your example "Mi amigo" is the one missing to me. He is not here and I "feel" like I miss him. I could say "Me hace falta una manzana" after I have eaten 10 apples, not to express a feeling but to play a joke. The grammatical meaning will remain the same, I'm missing one more apple. However, I'm not trying to express a feeling. I'm trying to play a joke. Although emotions can be subjective, they still fall within the same grammar rules. Muchas gracias por hacer una pregunta! 🙂👍
