It doesn’t surprise me, this was re-released to include V and Balboa. At this point, Sly should show some love to the other sequels and provide a commentary for 2, 3, and heck even 5. He has spoken frankly about V, fans, and people who spend the money on the franchise would want more in terms of special features.

Never liked Godfather 3 as a whole. I could see the good movie in it, but unfortunately bogged down with a bunch of crap. Coda surprised the hell out of me. Streamlined, tightened, and polished. I love Godfather Coda, not 3.😂

I have been a diehard fan since I was 12 and this is the first time, in 42 years, I've seen these clips of him directing the very scenes I know by heart and have been watching my whole life. I know the Pasadena neighborhoods, and know exactly where they are for these moments and interviews. Wow this is great!

Unfortunately, this is about 98% a static 7.1.2 bed channel encoding. Only a couple scenes actually have 3D objects present. Given the subject matter, this is quite disappointing. If you have six or more overhead speakers, this renders only the Top Middle speakers active for the bulk of the film. If you have Front Wides, they remain silent. They could have done A LOT better job.

I mostly agree, it’s way better than BHC3. For the most part it could’ve been released in theaters minus a few how do we say ‘Netlix-ey,’ sorta close ups and transitions. Main issue eventhough it got addressed was Taggert not believing Rosewood in the first place. This trope has been used in GB: afterlife when Ray didn’t believe Egon etc. This isn’t necessarily an indictment on this film, but in modern films in general is the lack of great music in them. In the past you can sell a film on its potential music, and soundtracks were a thing. Now, we have to relay on the past with the soundtrack of the OG BHC to entice the fans. I’m not complaining BHC soundtrack is one of the best of that era, but kinda also shows the lack of music that all people can enjoy etc. This was certainly better than Coming 2 America. The initial talk of a sequel is classic to drive people to see it. But… they leave enough that a possible sequel could occur so let’s see….

I was so excited for this but I was little let down. Where was Kevin Bacon in the first hour of the film? Where was Joseph Gordon Levitt? I mean Rosewood goes missing his daughter is in danger, get set up… I don’t know wh Axel wasn’t teamed up with Bobby the entire time. Just thought it kind of lagged in the middle but the action sequences were fun. It was funny, I just really really love the Tony Scott sequel and I think I was a little letdown by the directing…. Music supervisor definitely missed a great opportunity in the third act with Rosewood, Bobby and Axel. Whatever song they chose was very lackluster. Personal opinion, personal opinion, personal opinion.

They need to make a 5 film collection set. No idea why they haven’t unless there’s rights issues though.

I just got the regular slipcover for this movie and it looks great on 4k!

I pre-ordered the Steelbook. It's not the best looking one but the disc is what matters. Really looking forward to the Dolby Atmos track. Gonna put my setup to the test! Great review!

Is there any reason to why many studios (mainly Paramount and Warner Bros.) are ditching the standard Blu-ray with new/recent 4K releases? I honestly would prefer them to include it so that those who don’t have a 4K player yet can have the standard Blu-ray to watch the film. Now it’s like you have to buy both the 4K and Blu-ray editions.
