I forgot to follow up with you following my succesful installation of the Rhodan 96. It's working like a charm and what a difference to have the capability to lock on to reefs and shut the engines off! Truly a game changer. So, thanks for the detailed videos on both the motor and electrical installation. Definitely made my life easier. On another note I was wondering if you've changed out the bungee cords on the below gunnel rod holders. I've ordered the cord online (3/16" diameter) and I guess I'll just size up the appropriate crimps once I have the cord. And advise?

Shame on Garmin to be selling inferior transducers. My GM 20 is only 2 seasons old and my Garming 5 striker is unable to connect with the transducer. I had a Raymarine before without any problems for years until it was stolen off the boat. Garmin should do a recall and replace FOC

In my case the transducer was made by Airmar. They do have a warranty, but mine was outside of that.

I agree with ATR-42 Really grateful for your efforts. The part number help and all is great. I will say there is a super helpful and very simple way I've found to dispense ATF fluid. Use a piece of small tubing 1/4, 3/8, 1/2... as an artesian well kind of setup. Drill the cap with a uni-bit. Carefully drill it out to just slightly smaller than your tube. Cut at an angle on one end... makes it easier to push the tube through the cap and also allows the fluid to flow through from inside the bottle. Push the tubing all the way to the bottom of the quart bottle. Now you can simply squeeze the bottle of ATF same as Ketchup. Also, 3/16 or 7/32 drill through the top spout of a Dawn dish soap bottle and 1/4 tubing works great this way.

@@aportilla007 Have you ever ordered a boat on the internet? I tried in 2021 and didn't have any luck. Ran into "Let me refer you to the local dealer in your area" multiple times. Local dealer didn't have those same prices or were already so backlogged on orders it would take over a year to get my boat. It shouldn't matter where I live and dealers do that to maintain their oligopoly.

Amazing, exactly what i need. I have a strange issue that i hope could be dolved by cleaning out the vst. I have a 2011 f250d. Its mounted on a Phantom 21 Speedboat. When i take it out in larger waves and jump with it, or get alot of movement. Suddenly the engine doesnt wanna rev past somewhere between 4000rpm and 4800. Differs from everytime. It runs perfect up to that rpm then it bogs. Seems like it wont get fuel to rev past it, no warnings or anything. Then i stop the engine, pump the fuel bulb, and restart, usually that fixes it. Then it happend again next time i get alot of movement on the boat.

@4RibsFishing 2 ай бұрын
@@simonhaugenkolstad8561 so your motor has two pumps. Low speed and high speed. Low speed fills the VST. High speed delivers to the motors. After you eliminate the cheap items (filters) you may need to look at how the tank gets filled. There is a float, a check valve, and a pump, one or more of these may not be performing.

@@4RibsFishing thanks i saw this. And a pressure regualtor. So to be sure, the outside pump is filling the vst? And the innside pumo is high pressure? Or opposite. How much did the gaskets and filters cost for you? Just one of the intake gaskets is 200$ where i live... No US website delivers to Norway. Also checked the outside pump price. It was 1300$ and the inner one was 500😅

Your low speed pump aka take up pump fills the filter and your VST tank. Your high speed pump sends it to the motor from the VST.
