In the middle of the night I woke up wondering why bread "without yeast" keeps coming up in this study? Does anyone have a clear and correct answer? Obviously, it has extreme importance in addition to alluding to the "Passover" in Egypt. There must be at least one other explanation.
@dadosinteressantesdecacana58217 минут бұрын
At the Passover it symbolized the haste of leaving Egypt. Yeast takes time to leaven the dough. Also, yeast is a symbol of sin. Just a tiny amount of an “yeast dough” and the entire dough is affected by it (Gal 5:8). Well, this is how I understand it. But I’d love to learn more.

God is so specific and detailed, so intricate! Nothing He says or does is by accident. He plans and has a purpose for everything. May we keep the “lamps” of our hearts burning for the Lord!

The seventh year; the year of jubilee! (With Jesus, every year is the year of jubilee!) In the Old Testament, so much was done to make restitution, but Jesus has made restitution for us! Let us not hold back our offerings to God🙏🏽 Let us not deny justice, nor oppress people. Lord help us to be compassionate as You are! May we offer our firstfruits to You 🙏🏽 God thank you for your promise to give us full life as we follow You! May we have spiritual eyes to see God in everything! Our God is an all-consuming fire 🔥 “Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness”- thank you Jesus!

Every Israelite was shaking with fear when seeing the Egyptians chasing after them. However, Mosses already heard from God how He will deal with the enemy (Exodus 14:4), Mosses comfort the Israelites on verse 14:13-14). That was what exactly happened, the Egyptian army was destroyed. (14:22-30). In such fearful moments, the angel of God who was leading the Israelites went behind them, facing the Egyptians and protecting the Israelites (vers 19). What a wonderful God. Brother Luke, I appreciate how you linked Manna with the Bread of Life in John (Jesus), and how you linked with Psalms 78. Your reflection on God's providence encouraged me to remember and trust in the Lord's provision on my current situation ( being without a job). As to "who I am" I sometimes find myself grumbling about my circumstances, forgetting God's faithfulness. Thank you brother Luke, for helping me see myself and bringing myself back to where I should be. God is using your service. Keep up the good work🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thank you brother Luke! 😊. I was impressed that even though the Egyptians were not believers, after hearing God's judgement, some of them feared the Lord and tried to keep themselves and their livestock inside their houses, away from God's wrath and were saved. Some of the Pharaoh's officials also warned the king. Yet in his stubbornness Pharaoh let the whole of Egypt be devastated. Mosses' boldness to stand before pharaoh and administering God's judgement is remarkable. Even if Pharaoh warned to kill him if seen before the king, Moss was not afraid of announcing the devastating judgment of God on every Egyptian firstborn, including the king's son. What a faith, what a confidence, what a prophet to listen to God's voice with every detail. 😊😊😊 God is awesome to use anyone for his divine purpose. Praise the Lord!

I was struck by Exodus 23 where it says, "do not follow the crowd in doing wrong....and do not show favoritism....." IMO a very powerful command and insight into the influence of culture upon our lives. I wish this had been drilled into me as a young person. Culture or the "inner-ring" can cause us to betray our conscience. What a tragedy. Very good bible study!

Water from a rock! Only God can do that 💪🏽🙏🏽 Let us hold up the hands (figuratively) of our brothers and sisters in the Lord! The Lord is greater than all other gods. We are His treasured possession in Christ! The water 💦 Jesus gives us is eternal. May we live in that freedom!!

Because of the Lord, we are free!! He has done much for us. We are redeemed with the blood of Jesus the Lamb of God. What a great correlation. He bought us with His blood… God guides us! Exodus 14:14, a great reminder that the Lord will fight for us, we need only to be still ❤️🙏🏽 Who is like our God? There is no one like Him!! Let us sing to the Lord in thankfulness. He is the Lord who heals us! May we not complain like the Israelites did. Let us gather what we need… Manna means “what is it?” 😂 Amen that Jesus is the TRUE bread of life!! He provides!

God is concerned for us too ❤️ I AM is with us 🙏🏽 God can use us even when we feel inadequate like Moses did. God’s not finished with us yet… Praise the Lord for His enduring love!! Let us remember His words of truth and mercy 🙂

It’s also an example of how negative reinforcement and punishment usually has an immediate and temporary result or reward. When Jesus came, he showed us the example of unconditional love and how it has infinite power.. The armor of Christ is love.
@AngelaFrancesca-i6l5 күн бұрын
It’s interesting that God chose Moses, in spite of or even because of his speech impediment. Often throughout the Bible, there are examples of God, choosing people that have impediments or weaknesses. The refrain, “Why me ?” echoes throughout both the Old and New Testament . Weaknesses and impediments are like cracks or openings that allow the light of His presence to shine forth. The weaker the vessel, the more obvious His strength, the more obvious and effective the display of His incomparable power. There isn’t any excuse for us to say that we are unable to be in service for the Lord. All we need is faith and willing heart. I also wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the prayer today. Thank you.

“God’s plans often defy our expectations.” We never know what to expect. We woke up to snow on the ground here in Florida! I grew up in the north, so it wasn’t as much of a big deal for me as it was for a lot of my neighbors. Many of them have never lived anywhere, but Florida. Some of the older ones are saying that they aren’t going to drive anywhere today because they’re afraid. It’s hard to understand if you don’t put it in context. It made me think… Our God is a big picture God. We only see a minuscule part of the world. We only see a small moment in time and He sees everything that ever was, and ever will be. Only by faith can we navigate our lives and fulfill our purpose and our destiny. Thanks again Luke. This is a great way to start the day. God bless you and your loved ones.

I really loved your summary at the end. The prayer was short, sweet, simple and moving. So many people shy away from God, or outright, reject him because they don’t want to think of a higher power that is able to see all the bad things that they have done. If only they would read the Bible and really take in its meaning. They would see that the people that were most beloved by Him, like Jacob, often committed sinful deeds and were very duplicitous. Our God is faithful and has unconditional love for us, and he has from the beginning. I really enjoyed today. I actually re-read the Bible from front to back and finished it last summer. I hadn’t read it all the way through since college and that was quite some time ago. Even so, it’s a joy following along with you and everyone here. Thank you.
