Благодарю Вас за обзор. По моему мнению этот разрез на коробке бритвенных лезвий служит для сбора отработавших своё лезвий, утиль.

Thanks for the explanation man 👌🏼, I have 3 synthetic brushes and I just purchased my first badger silvertip, an Alpha T-400 Blue Monday. Let's see if worth the money 😁. Greetings from Mexico City 👋🏼

I just purchased one of these in mint condition after a serious bidding war on eBay. Cant wait to try it out. Hoffritz was an amazing high end culinary/knife store in NYC that closed in the 1960-70s. Lot's of history. It was very luxury.

Note that the spine of the blade may had a two-digit year of manufacture. No code = replacement blade. There is also a serial number stamped on the case. Mine is dated 1943. It's interesting to shave with a blade that probably was bought by someone in the USAAF, maybe a B-17 crewman! Did this shave a face that spent hours under an oxygen mask, to Germany and back?

But do we really need a razor so expensive? Adjustable, comb edged,etc... I have got all the 4 types of razors with me.philps electric,merkur plain razor, Gillette twin blades razor and cut throat or barber razor. But i love barbers razor.

The B1 and the OSS handle is my go to, I have have several other razors that I haven't used for years. I had no idea it was an aggressive razor but you are the second one to day that now, I find the Mulhé open comb much more of a beast.

Thank you!! 😊 I bought one to do away with disposable razors but was struggling to get it sharp enough. Your video was SO good and I feel much more confident to care for it - and also understand it now. I hadn't realised there were two different mechanisms push & drag or about oiling! These things are just genius aren't they? I have the Viscount model with a slightly different case. Off to give it some more tlc! 💖 p.s. I just noticed my model has an S and an H on the buttons (to indicate what you want to do rather than what the surface is that pops out) and now I know what they actually mean thanks to your vid! 👌

In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. It saves me time and Money. Wheelchair Larry Happy New Year. Your Mileage may vary?

@rockeysingh8841
@rockeysingh8841 10 ай бұрын
Well thanks for that. But all you did was foreplay. Because you failed abysmally to show how to attach a handle to the blade. You talked at length about honing and jack ####, about actually using the razor. Buddy your girl must be very frustrated all foreplay and no action . Don't waste people's time. You are better off doing auto self gratification.

Great demo. My dad was an expert with one of these and had the same one all his life. The tips on conditioning the stone and leather were really useful. Just a comment on your honing/stropping action. The idea is to keep the handle low on the same side and push-pull it quickly without it swinging the arm over. This saves time and requires much less effort. My dad used to click-clack it at great speed which you could hear all over the house. This is a little masterpiece of engineering right down to the safety bar, which keeps the blade edge at a safe angle while in use.

Thanks for the informative video! I just bought myself a Rolls and didn't know how to care for the honing stone and strop. You had me worried there for a while about which plate was on which side of the case but the small indents at the end are reversed so that the honing stone and strop always go back on the right side for the mechanism. I'm hoping that with what I've learned here I'll have found my "new" favorite razor and will be keeping it in great condition for decades if not longer!

Oumo brushes has some great customization and they're also experimenting with breeding domesticated badgers for shearing hairs instead of having to kill wild badgers. Not sure how well that'll turn out, but it seems worth giving it a try, since wild badgers are extremely aggressive and tenacious.
