My dad, two brothers and I farmed with 4 IH TD14s from 1954. We upgraded nearly everything and freshened them up, one each winter. We took them from working hard to pull 8 bottoms to pulling 10 without a sweat.. We used them until 1980. We also had one old IH and older Minneapolis Moline wheel tractors for light work.

My Dad had one of these , with a blade . We cut and piled brush ( lots of acres) and would break with a WD9 on steel single bottom international plow. The bigger stumps we would go around then use the td9 to dig them out or put a brush pile on them and burn them off. I tell you really had to want to farm to do that.

Use the brake on same side as steering clutch to steer it

There is a lever on the inside of intake manifold that some time sticks ma need some lube

50 years ago i operated aTD9 and a TD6 dozers i think the TD9 was a TD9B, HADTO REPLACE THE RUBBER GASKET ON THETHETD6 RADIATOR THAT TOP TANK IS CAST IRON AND HEAVY, I DID ON MY OWN IN THE BUSH I WILL NOT FORGET I THINK I WAS 16 OR 17 BEUTIFULL MACHINES

Play with adjustment when on gas mode

clean the carb, and set the idle on gas a little higher. never run it on gas for more than 5 min.
