I think you’ve seen just about everything if it’s not from warthogs to alligators and all rest in between 😲😲😅What did you do, wait for the warthogs to move!?! Silly things 🙄 You are brave and perseverant! A lot of miles in one day and what a thing to find a train in your way!! Thanks for the video! It was fun to see! 👌🏻Keep it up! 🥰
@thehealinghiker12 күн бұрын
Yes I patiently waited for them to move and then I told them to leave me alone while I quickly peddled by! Yes that crazy train really messed me up! I tried getting my bike under it but didn’t want to scratch it up, it would barely fit. Grrrr. The traffic was the worst part though 🤦🏻♀️. As always thanks for watching 🙏💕

@ Well right now I’m in Paris Kentucky. We have been here a month and will go back to Washington Dec 3. We are staying with my daughter and granddaughter. It’s so beautiful here. Have you ever gone to the Ark? It is really something to see. We bought the book that tells everything. You look so good. I have issues with my neck hip and spine. I have osteoporosis and osteopenia. So we don’t go to AZ anymore. Do you still make cards that play with your music? Pray for our country. We may not have freedom very long. Thank you for your note. What an inspiration you are to people. Your reward is in Heaven. Love you in the Lord. Does your mother still travel with you???
@thehealinghikerАй бұрын
@@beverlybott5737 Awwww thanks for filling me in on your life. I'm sorry about your health challenges, praying for you. Glad you get to be with family. YES I have been to the Ark and enjoyed it very much, they did such a good job eh? I still make cards but don't video anymore, ever since moving my tight space has been difficult to film. I might get back to it someday. Yes praying for your country too, interesting times. . . My mom went with me to South Carolina, I was so blessed to have her, could not have done these hikes without her! Love you and praying for you.

@@thehealinghiker Aww, you’re a sincere soul 💕I hear ya, it a tough one. It can be so hard to know when and when not to give. I don’t think it’s wrong though to be good stewards of our money and to withhold it from professional beggars. I saw time and time again when dad would give money to random street people that made up legit sounding stories and they just took advantage of him. Or of the time when a guy said he had forgotten his wallet, needed money for fuel, would pay it back, & took off with the money and never returned. Such is life along with the cases of legit need and it can be hard to decipher.

For me, the difference between the walking and the bicycling video is the pace. Walking is very peaceful while cycling has the feeling of a gliding movement with the wind on your face and more focus on what's ahead. I enjoy both. Thanks.

Pick dentist carefully. Very, very carefully. Found out thru experience. Also, those who take you to offices get a kickback from dentist if they bring in customers. Remember, dental schools in Mexico not the same as US .

You walked far more of the town than I did, very impressive! Sorry to hear your mother's work did not succeed. My own experience in Los Algodones has been perfect, and for full mouth restoration. But I went to the largest dental practice in the town, namely SANI Dental. You were right there when you were in the "Medi-Plaza", it is right next door and the Medi-Plaza is part of their operation. That includes the Hotel Cielito Lindo and the big restaurant you walked by, "Mi Casa Es Su Casa". Anyway, what I did to select a dentist was to research quite a lot on the internet, exchanged email and phone calls all before I drove 3.5 hours. Over two days I visited several dental practices for evaluations and prices. My choice was SANI Dental and I had the extractions, implants and temporary acrylic prostheses all done over a three day visit in March of 2024. Coming up on six months later and I have been completely pleased so far. I will return soon to have the temporary removed and the final, permanent bridges installed. Of course my work was very extensive and would have been impossible for me to pay for in the USA. While online reviews of LUX Dental where your mother went are very positive, I've no personal experience there. I do know that many dentists in Los Algodones guarantee their work over some time period, like two to five years. I wonder if she considered returning there?

Thanks for posting. Fun to watch. Unfortunately, BC Ferries "renovated" a 4 year old ship, and part of that was to convert the only forward facing view lounge to a "kids zone" where if you want the magnificent forward views there is competition from noisy kids and big screen TVs that interfere with the benefit of the windows. "Unencumbered by the thought-process" at BC Ferries.

I like it there. I had 8 crowns, 4 root canals, one implant in done in 2 days. Started on Monday, went back Weds. to finish up. In answer to your question: The experiences I've had are like the breeze: it's there for one moment and gone the next. The good I've done is/was/will be for the people who benefit from my actions. Yes, in 100 years, there will probably be no memory of me, but that's okay. I do not long for immortality. Seize the moment and do your best with a clear consicence. That is all there is to it, really. Is it easy to accept one is just as temporary as a May fly? Maybe not for everyone, but accepting it brings a great deal of peace.
