My left arm goes numb when I put my brace one and doesn’t fit the way yours does. It flips up above or to the midline of my shoulder blades
@DrBrandonNevel25 күн бұрын
If a posture brace is too tight and puts pressure on your arm pit, it can cause your arm to go numb. Regardless, if your arm goes numb wearing the brace, I would listen to your body and discontinue wearing it.

I have pinched nerves between L4 and L5 (disc herniation) and been told there is nothing they can do for me. I've had this for over 3 years now. I live between Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT. Is there anyone near me that is competent with this therapeutic option I would like to try it based on the doctors comments? Thanks very much.

What treatments have you tried so far?
@richbruns346520 күн бұрын
@@DrBrandonNevel Thanks for replying. I had steroid shots that did not work and I also had a nerve ablation done in an outpatient surgical place that was supposed to suppress the nerve response going back to the brain it did not work either. I also tried PT and one of the techs tried a decompression technique that actually made it much worse so I stopped going to PT. Thanks very much!

Scar tissue can be from surgery, soft tissue injuries, or even repetitive movement injuries. It’s also referred to as myofascial adhesions. She had scar tissue from repeated movements and forward head posture.

does laser have thermal effect? if yes, it should be contraindicated in acute inflammatory cases or acute edema , right?because in physiotherapy heat is contraindicated in those acute cases.what do you think?
@DrBrandonNevel2 ай бұрын
For any acute injuries, we use a pulsed setting which eliminates any thermal effect. The pulsed setting creates no heat and allows all the laser's energy to be concentrated over the injury.
@SarkisKlinik2 ай бұрын
@@DrBrandonNevel Thanks. But would not the pulse mode in acute cases not increase the blood flow which in case exacerbate the symptoms?
@DrBrandonNevel2 ай бұрын
@@SarkisKlinik No, the pulsed setting reduces the inflammation and does not create a large vasodilation effect. In addition to reduced inflammation and pain, it stimulates collagen metabolism.
