My $400 Nord bench was shipped with missing parts. Basically its worthless junk. I have emailed Garrett at Nordstick several times and can't get anyone to respond. Do not do business with this company. There is NO Customer Service. Check their reviews...Buyer Beware

Hi there, may I ask what benchc you recommend for something similar to this? I saw in the comments that you have got the freak athlete, is that a decent and a good quality one?

@@neomaxim3529 love the freak athlete, couldn’t recommend it more. The ability to use it as a GHD is great for me, and the hip thrust/Bulgarian function is far superior in my opinion. I also prefer Nordic bench functionality on the freak athlete too due to the dual rollers, which makes it easier for your feet to lock in place against the footplate. A much more stable and comfortable product overall, but at the expense of cost and storage size (still easier to move though due to the nordbench having the worst handle design in history Others have said that the nord bench they received is significantly different than the one I received, so depending on your use case, either may be a good option.

@@NoOnesComing Thanks a lot for the reply. I was also considering the nordic weight bench from thetibarguy, but not sure between that one and the freak athlete. I saw some quality issues comments and not a good customer service with freak athlete which made me a bit unsure.

I thought you were being pedantic, but I just saw another review (shredded dad). Not only is it totally a pop pin, he shows it stored upright. I think they must've changed it one way or the other.

@NoOnesComing 27 күн бұрын
The owner reached out to me and offered to give me the upgraded pin, but that was almost a month ago. Owner and customer service team now won’t respond to my emails. The product that I have does not have a way to store upright in any configuration due to the fact that the pin can only be inserted in 2 positions and neither position produces a stable base for the product to stand upright in.

@NoOnesComing that's so frustrating. I've seen at least 3 different pin variations in videos, so I'd have no idea which one they'd actually ship. It's hard to trust big reviewers either, since they'll obviously get the nicer pins. I guess I'll just hold off a little longer

@@NoOnesComing Would you happen to be able to tell me the width of the pad/space between the handles ? I've tried to reach out to the company with 0 luck. I been looking for a piece of hardware specifically to do back extensions but need the space saving also combined with the right size/weight limit. Seems impossible to find something with those exact specs and the freak product is out of my budget at this time.

Mine wobbles despite having done everything as instructed. Alignment is off. Handles to move the unit comes in the way when trying to roll it around in the room. Installation is a nightmare. Everything tossed into a ziplock bag, with no labels. It is still usable, definitely not for tall or heavy people. I would return it because the marketing made it appear better than it really is, however, dealing with customer service, returning it and paying for restocking is too much of a hassle. You get what you paid for. Overall, for a budget hyperextension/nordic curl bench with progressions, it does the job. If you want a high quality piece with no manufacturing imperfections, this unit will not be that.

Company was trying to charge a restocking fee that was not listed anywhere on their website. I said I’d call my credit card company and have them do a chargeback, and miraculously they said they’d refund the cost of the bench but they couldn’t accept a return due to the fact that they have no where to return them to currently. Initially they were going to have me send it to the founder’s house, but then they said that was not an option. Their customer service has been all over the place.

Hi all, updating you here on my current experience with the Nordbench. The customer service for nordstick has reached back out to me and informed me that the changes with the pins were made to the product and the pop pins are no longer an option. I asked to start the return process and in addition to having me pay the return shipping costs, they are also attempting to have me pay a 15% restocking fee. The restocking fee is not mentioned anywhere in this website, including the product page, shipping policy, return policy, or terms of service. I have also checked previous iterations of the website on the wayback machine, and have not found any mention of the restocking fee. Frankly this company is acting too shady for my liking, and I will likely not purchase again. I have asked to start the return process if they can confirm that I will not be charged the restocking fee, so we’ll see how that goes. I’m thinking if this continues, I’ll likely have to reach out to my credit card company for a chargeback. It shouldn’t be an issue as I believe I have everything to back up my position on this dispute. Let me know though, what actions would you take in this situation?

I have an absolute lemon. The alignment on my NordBench is so poor I can use several angles. The pin to my kick plate can’t go in because that is so poorly misaligned. I need to return mine. I absolutely love the padding. But I can’t use the full functionality of this machine because of the poor quality control. I am very disappointed. I waited over 3 months for mine to get here. I even sold my other 45 hyper for this bench. Should have kept it and been happy.

@@NoOnesComing I hope others see these comments as well. I will leave a review on their site soon (if I don't hear back from them within a week of emailing). If they replace the product and it is fully functional then I will be much happier than I am now. But I find it hard to believe that will happen any time soon. I should have just listened to everyone and bought the FreakAthlete Hyper Pro. I was just trying to save some money. Guess you get what you pay for.

@ even in the extended position, the bench still comes off the ground during Nordic curls, even though I only weight about 170lbs and am not even able to do them explosively. The amount of wobble it has from side to side is equally as bad whether the base is extended or not.I upgraded to the freak athlete and couldn’t be happier. Does everything the nordbench does with exception of the slant board.

Heya, greetings from Bulgaria! Great vid, I've been thinking about the J31 for a while now and am just about to pull the trigger on them. One thing I'm worried about - how is the eye relief on these? Most of the time I'll be using these going out airsofting with the boys, some range time as well. My concern with eye relief is if it is good enough if wearing J31s with eye pro. Are they okay if pushed further away from the eye balls or do you really need to get them in close to get a good view/eye relief through the nod?
@NoOnesComing
@NoOnesComing 6 ай бұрын
@@maringanchev7578 I definitely prefer them mounted pretty close to my eyes just as a personal preference but I haven’t had any issues wearing eye pro under them. I use the Oakley m-frame alphas for eye pro which do a pretty good job of sitting flush with your face though, so I could see it being a problem with bulkier glasses

Overall, incredible for the price! They work great in every situation that I have put them in, controls are good and tactile, and the built in IR illuminator is a big bonus. I only have 2 gripes with them: non-standard objective lens size(which limits accessories unless you get the CHS adapter rings) and the chromatic aberration that you get from lights. Neither of these gripes make them unusable, and really are nitpicking. I just got a chance to use some PVS-31’s a month ago and really not that much difference besides the CA, so I would highly recommend the J31’s if they fit into your budget!
