I wish people, especially brands, would stop saying that urethane inherently creates carrydown. It’s not the urethane, it’s the flare. If it doesn’t flare, it’s gonna create carry down. Your strongest, fastest absorption rate reactives will create the same carry down if you cant create flare. It’s about the baby weight blocks generally put into urethane bowling balls.

Just once I'd love to see what a ball looks like on a THS in the hands of an average house bowler. Most of us aren't throwing anywhere close to 400 rpm and can't hook the entire lane.

Everyone was way deeper than what I wanted to see. I was expecting a cleaner, straighter, and smoother ball reaction even for the higher rev players. I'm about 18 speed and 420 revs. I used to have a Columbia 300 Scout Reactive that was perfect but is no longer made. I was hoping this would do the same. Looks like this ball is still too strong. Too bad. I was all excited thinking this was what I was missing.

I am going to try this at 63 years old my rev rate is down. I had a very high rev rate 30 years ago so yes I know how to do it without a device. The problem is after injury to hip when I try to load the way I used to, it puts a lot of strain on my hip and it will injure me again. So by having this it should allow a stronger roll without that issue, no different than the support from the opposite hand in a two handed delivery IMHO. To me the big advantage to two-handed is not having a thumb in the ball, it makes release timing much easier. With a solid wrist position that should also aid in consistency in thumb timing and therefore release timing. My worry will be losing some foul line adjustment given by the uncocking and un-cupping of the wrist, but heck I figure if I am not delivering a consistent RPM the foul line and the rev rate is not high enough than the foul line adjustment will only allow me to hit the pocket but not increase my carry percentage. If anyone wants to see a video of me after I get it, please let me know.😀

Oh Lord, here we go again. The "Level" is obviously another attempt by Storm to create a "urethane like" ball and we know how all their past experiments with that idea have turned out.

I recently went into my pro shop to buy a new ball. He didn’t watch me roll anything. Just drilled it however he wanted and gave the ball back to me. I can’t make that hook for anything. I guess I’ll look for another Shop for my next ball.
