I think the only Storm brands ball I've ever purchased was a Rubicon, but I never got around to drilling it. The Phaze 2 has always been on my "to buy eventually" list. The new Summit Ascent and Harsh Reality series look good, too. This new Phaze A.I. looks like it will be on my radar now as well. What are the true "must have" Storm brands balls aside from what I've mentioned?

Phaze 2, iq tour, gem, harsh reality, virtual energy blackout, attention star, ion pro, ion max are all really good balls and there are many more after that. These aren’t necessarily must haves but these are a lot of the “good” bowling balls of recent.

I’m a storm loyalist, always have been since I rolled my 300 in junior leagues with an El Niño wrath. Infinite physics is a fantastic older ball that is one of the most versatile I have ever owned. VEBO is a good ball, but conditions need to be good or I start flat 10 ing nonstop. The new Ion Max is so far the strongest, most continuous thru the pins ball I have ever rolled. She bites, hard, and keeps biting after ball transition while maintaining angle and power thru the pins. For an average rev player, it’s the best ball available that I have seen. If you have high revs it looks to burn out a bit once the fresh oil is gone unless drilled weaker. Ion max is my vote. Shot 640 Wednesday with no ball changes (19x, 21x and 244 opening in 10th first two games from user error) on the storm trio league and 620 first time out with the ball last Friday on heavy oil. Usually a 180-185 average bowler. It rips.

Larry is good but for my money it's AL. AL makes the best bowling balls. His marriage is crappy and the kids are a pain in his ass, so he spends all the time he can at work making those balls.

It’s not designed by ai itself, AI stands for amplified inertia, which refers to the outer core technology that Storm uses for select bowling balls.

@@crimsontide1980 the focus is like an alternative to a phase 2 (same with summit ascent in a sense) especially once it picks up a lil lane shine. I kinda want one myself I won’t lie, but I’d rather sand the phase AI to 2k-3K grit instead

Supposedly there is some brands of bowling ball manufacturers that are experimenting with bowling balls that are smart. Meaning that there will be sensors imbedded in the bowling ball that connect to youre smart device that you will then be able to retrieve all the data everyone wants . For example no more what’s my rev rate posts on Reddit .
