Came up great. Hopefully the Coppers are okay where you are, because I’ve seen them defect blokes for not having the shift pattern impregnated on the shift knob.

Luv you're man , I have a 1984 that I'm working on , wondering if you know how to " beef up " the engine a little..?
@WingitCustoms27 күн бұрын
good question here , cheers . without a full engine swap I’d look into porting the block , head and exhaust I have seen this done at home with a die grinder and some patience. smooth out all the imperfections from factory casting will let it breath more and let the oil flow rather the hang up . air in also look into the head port from the carburetor

Wow, that came up good. Always a bit trickier on these cars with so many curved panels. I did my front guard bottoms, and they needed a lot more finishing off too.

This is a very clever idea. I am going to steal it and us it to lift my 1965 Ford Ranchero high enough to roll my bagged, LS swapped S-10 frame under it. Thanks for sharing this with the world. I will also be showing my version on my channel.

Try prestretching the panel before you put your lovers in. If you had an english wheel it would be easier! Great job though.
@WingitCustoms2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip! the bottom plate could be much smaller from the cutting edge , allowing the closer louvers . the panel should stay a lot flatter.

Try using masonry drill bits to drill hard steels surprisingly works well if you work your way up through the sizes
@WingitCustoms2 ай бұрын
thanks , someone else has told me this , I must try it
@barrysnell67752 ай бұрын
The punching and the tipping stretched the panel, so you gotta shrink it to get that oil can out.
@WingitCustoms2 ай бұрын
I’d agree with you , this panel was a great test for the louvre punch ,👍🏼

@@WingitCustoms Yes sir, great job with those dies. Pretty inspirational too, honestly, given how much companies charge for the damn things... And I didn't mean to be an Internet know-it-all either, I just saw you tapping the panel with the body hammer, and I wasn't sure if you knew the solution to flatten it back out.

cheers mate the shrinker would work well, though not a fan of the marks it leaves on the steel.

Kudos to you man for sticking through it and doing the upholstery yourself. Most guys farm that out, it's really really hard to get a good result without many hours of sewing practise, and als using a specialized upholstery machine. But you did a bang up job and it looks really good!

hey mate nope this panel was from another vehicle, I trimmed up for this video, the original panel was a full side panel but I really wanted to keep as much of it as original as could. so a lengthy half was the way .
