It's so beautiful and enchanting! Simply surreal magic on ice! Here is something Angelic in his performance - etherial His "fall" on 2:04 is unreally sublime! What a delight to watch this Poet of the ice dancing agin and again... Thank you for another Curry's wonder!

This an extremely demanding program! They make it look so easy but they have to be in excellent athletic condition as well as being great technical condition. I love them!

Are you talking about the Minkus ballet? don't know it well enough to say 'no' for sure but John Lanchberry composed the music for 'Tales' based on old music hall tunes
@choirkitty3 ай бұрын
@quillerpen could definitely be based on it. The music sounds similar

It was recorded on VHS over 40 years ago, then transferred to DVD about 20 years later, then posted here so it's not the best quality but it's better than nothing!

@@quillerpen Don’t get me wrong; I appreciate your recording, saving, and uploading it so much!!!! I seriously think some filmmaking genius should do what Peter Jackson did with that old Beatles footage, and restore perfect footage of everything this golden couple has even done.

Thank you for this. 16 years later. :) One instance where Curry's use of well-known ballet music doesn't quite come off. It can't help but invite comparison to Balanchine's definitive use of this piece. This pas de deux calls for some pizazz even in this relatively slow opening section and here everything is very slow and careful. I see what Curry saw in Foulkes but there's more exposure for her here than in Faune and she doesn't hold up as well under it. I believe she did have considerable ballet training, which just underscores how much Curry brings to the table - he's not just "doing ballet," that's natural grace and flow and musicality. It may be inspired and enhanced by ballet but it's something no training can give if you don't have it. Love the beard. Of course Curry looked great in almost any look except that footballer's perm he tried in 1976 of all years.
