I've had good results throwing the neko rig and appreciate your videos on the subject. One thing I dont see in any videos on the neko is the correct retrieve. I tend to keep my rod tip high and twitch or pulse the bait every once in a while. I've seen one video where the gentlemen kept a low rod, close to the water. He incorporated twitches a few times and said he got better hookups this way. Keeping a tighter line to the hook. Am I better off fishing it with a high rod, or should I incorporate the lower to the water, tighter line approach? Ty for your time.

It reminds me of the original Big O's here in East Tn. I'm really excited to use them this coming year. Thanks for all you have done for fishing and East Tn.

Do you prefer an offset hook or straight shank hook?

I also think that rubbing the baits to soften them up and getting that salt out to the surface, makes a difference. Straight out of the bag they'll probably not perform as well.
