Hello again, I'm ready to answer your questions (no spoilers). 1) Don't worry about the fox demon, she's alive :). 2) This is a katana man, he's the same hybrid as Denji, that is, instead of a heart, he has the heart of a katana demon. I think there's no need to explain why people are afraid of katanas. 3) The girl in the red sweater didn't revive the katana man, she just activated his starter (because he's the same hybrid as Denji, which means he can also be resurrected if someone activates his starter). By the way, each hybrid has an individual starter. 4) By the way, Aki doesn't even have a sword, but a huge nail that Power immediately noticed when Aki pulled it out, and this is due to the fact that he has a contract with the demon of curses and nails are often used to impose all sorts of curses on peoples, so the nail is quite consistent with the demon of curses. And the contract itself is that Aki pierces the enemy three times with this huge nail and he dies, and in exchange the demon of the curse takes years of Aki's life. By the way, if you did not notice that moment when Aki is going to pierce the man's katana with a nail, he says "come on" before that, then you can see how the demon of the curse clicks his finger on the nail, as if giving strength to the blow to the enemy. And so the fear of curses, I think, is connected with superstitious people who are afraid that they or their families will be cursed with bad luck or death. 5) The appearance of the ghost demon may seem to you that it is not particularly connected with ghosts, but this is not so. Firstly, the flowers covering his body are most likely connected with the fact that people bring flowers to the graves of the dead for peace. Secondly, the sewn-up eyes and mouth may be connected with the fact that the dead always have their eyes and mouth closed. Thirdly, a large number of hands may be due to the fact that people always imagine ghosts reaching out to the living, or people often see ghosts reaching out to the heroes in horror films. Fourthly, if you turn the ghost demon upside down, it will look like a bouquet of flowers, only instead of flowers there are hands:). 6) Snake demon I think it is clear why people are afraid of snakes and the snake demon is MUCH stronger than the ghost demon of course. By the way, if you have not noticed, the snake demon's mouth consists of many hands, and if you have a question whether it has teeth? then I will answer that it does have teeth, many sharp teeth, they are just hidden by the hands, but they are visible in the front part of the muzzle. And you may also have a question, why does the snake demon's mouth consist of hands? I think it's because real snakes, when they swallow their prey, they use their very mobile jaws to grab their prey, pushing it into their stomach, even if the prey is twice the size of the snake. So it all makes sense.

I can't believe I started watching this show way back in 1994, the last episode of the first season. I was enthralled, and that era back then, the zeitgeist of the time, just before the explosion of the internet into everyone's lives, the supernatural, conspiracies, UFO sightings, the media covering it, talk shows with episodes on supernatural themes, "reality" shows like Sightings and others showing caught on tape footage, FOX network's dumb alien "documentaries," the myriad of X-Files clones after solidifying the show's influence, then shows like The Outer Limits, Tales from the Crypt, many other supernatural shows, Stephen King television adaptations doing better justice to his books. Then Chris Carter creating MIllennium, which got glorious in its second season with the supernatural elements and crossed over to the X-Files for one last go. What a fun time the late 90's were in entertainment in this genre, television at least, and now supernatural/horor movies have reached their golden age. Conspiracy theories and the nuts that believed them were more innocuous, there was more wonder and magic to it, it all did not have the insidiousness it does now. Watching the X-Files now should be fun looking at how dated certain elements are, the differences of the times, how the writing was considered with more wit and sophistication at the time while noticing writing has advanced much much more now due to the great television shows of this era's golden age. There will be some awesome episodes, some glorious stand-alone monster-of-the-week episodes that stand the test of time even now, some run of the mill episodes of course, and I was one the ones that did enjoy the "mythology" episodes and lore most of the way.. The movies too, especially Fight the Future.

Ohh I vaugly remember Millennium, or mainly Lance Henriksens mug. Can't remember what the show was about though. I never watched The Outer Limits, and I barely remember Tales from the Crypt, but I do remember being creeped out by the crypt keeper haha. The stories on there were like, one offs right? I wonder if I could find it to watch anywhere. Argh, I can't stand those 'Alien Documentary' shows. Especially when my father in law believes them word for word. I haven't seen too many King adaptations, not even The Stand. Isn't that like his most famous TV one?? I do remember watching Rose Red back in the day though and liking it somewhat. But Haven was my jam for a few years. I loved that show. I must rewatch actually.

Its crazy watching this back now and thinking that back in the '90s how plausible the idea the US government was full of hyper competent people capable of doing conspiracies and stuff was, and that the FBI still had 2 people investigating stuff instead of just entrapping developmentally challenged shut-ins. The world made a lot more sense back when Aliens could have been real, even if it was all faker than Roswell.

Another term for the "waking dream" you described is Sleep Paralysis. Basically, your brain has a mechanism that disconnects it from your body when you're asleep so that you don't act out your draems in the real world (this mechanism may be faulty in sleepwalkers). What sometimes happens is that your dream makes your brain wake up, but the mechanism doesn't reconnect for some unknown reason, so you're conscious but paralysed. Since you're not getting real feedback from your body, your brain latches onto every little thing it can perceive and over-analyses it, which creates the feelings of "presence" and being "manipulated by outside forces", the details being woven together from your cultural programming. Put a religious 12th century European peasant though this experience and you get a tale of demonic possession. Do the same thing to a 20th century American peasant and you get a UFO abduction story. Re The Exorcist, there's a great story somewhere here on KZbin, but I'm damned if I can find it (phrasing, phrasing...). The guy being interviewed was working for an advertising agency in Brighton, England in the early 1970s. One of the guys in the office was reading The Exorcist, and it was really doing a number on him. He was getting paranoid and jumpy, coming into work telling tales of having horrible nightmares, and hearing strange sounds in his flat when he was awake. Eventually, he announced to the whole office that he was done with the damned book, and at lunchtime he was going to go down to the pier and throw it into the sea. So... our narrator waited until the "victim" went out to lunch, nipped round the corner to WH Smiths, bought another copy of the book, brought it back to the office, soaked it under the tap in the brew room, and put it in his desk drawer. After lunch, the "victim" came back looking much happier, told everyone how he felt better already having got that blasted book out of his life, and settled down to an afternoon's work. The scream about ten minutes later was truly satisfying...🤣😂🤣😅

Great to see this. Just to mention, it's, 'The X-Files,' not, 'X-Files.' This was the pilot, so the theme music wasn't in place until a whole season was commissioned. I do hope you continue - if you do, you're in for the ride of your life. IMHO, The X-Files is the greatest TV series in the history of TV. It led the way for so many other series. Don't assume anything as you watch The X-Files - it will always surprise you. Also, don't expect to get answers in each episode straight away. Keep going, it's well worth it. The X-Files changed my life, honestly. 👍👽

Nice to see you doing this, but one tech point if I may: there is a BIG difference between the volume levels of the show and your mic. I'm turning it up to hear the dialogue then getting deafened every time you speak. I'd HIGHLY recommend that you watch the blooper reel at the end of every season. Gillian Anderson is WAY more fun than Scully: IIRC, in her high school yearbook she was voted "girl most likely to do absolutely anything". Can't say anything specific here 'cos spoilers, but the X-files crew found that not only could they prank her, but she'd often take it as a dare and one-up the prank. Hilarity, as they say, ensued...

A great reaction to a great episode. Kallus has quite a character arc in Rebels overall! It's sad about Yularen joining the Empire, as he was a likeable and decent character in Clone Wars. But it makes sense him being in episodes of Rebels like this as he does die on the Death Star as a high ranking imperial officer in A New Hope

Hello, here are the answers to your questions and the moments you missed (no spoilers). 1) So, as you already understood, Denji simply tortured the demon of eternity, that he HIMSELF GAVE HIS HEART, so that Denji would finally kill him already (as I already said in my last comment, the demon of eternity can move his heart inside his body, so Denji did not find the heart of the demon of eternity, it was the demon himself who showed it so that Denji would end his suffering). 2) And if you did not notice, the demon of eternity addressed the demon of the chainsaw himself, that is, Pochita. And as you could understand from the line of the demon of eternity "before you were many times stronger, and now you are an insignificant chainsaw" Pochita was really stronger and what we saw in the first episode was his weakened form. I will not say anything more about this, because this is a spoiler. 3) I want to tell you something and this is not a spoiler because it is already obvious, but Denji is immortal, that is, he can be killed, as the demon of eternity did when he hit Denji on the head with all his might, which broke his neck, but the thing is that Denji can be resurrected if someone activates his starter (the cord on his chest), as for example Himeno did. So if Himeno had not helped during the battle between Denji and the demon of eternity, Denji would have lost and been eaten :D. I also want to note a detail that you missed, at the moment after the demon of eternity tore off Denji's right hand, you can see how Denji pulled his starter with his left hand and after that, from the place where his right hand was, chainsaw chains came out that returned his right hand :). 4) So now you know that the same demon can make a contract with several people at once, an example of a fox demon and also from the same episode we now know that demons have criteria for the people they make a contract with, for example fox demons, I quote Aki and Himeno. Aki - "the fox demon treats people well and many hunters work with her" Himeno - "but she only allows men with a pretty face to summon her head, you see, she loves handsome men." I think the fox demon's love for handsome men is related to kitsune from Japanese mythology about a fox girl who seduced handsome men. 5) A funny fact in this episode it was said that Kobeni has a contract with a demon but she didn't say which one, so the funny fact is that even now (part 2 of the Chainsaw Man manga is already coming out) it is not known which demon Kobeni has a contract with, and this is one of the biggest mysteries in Chainsaw Man. By the way, you might change your mind about Kobeni after episode 9:).

Peter Gould said that he wanted to write the finale as a sort of homage to "A Christmas Carol." Saul, starting off as a self-serving man, is visited by three ghosts (Mike, Walt, Chuck) who force him to contend with who he truly is...at his core, a person with a good heart. In the end, Jimmy stops hiding and changes...not much, but just enough to make a difference.

Saul's "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio" never directly implied he was necessarily still alive, Saul could have well been trying to shift blame onto someone he knew to be dead. In fact, we ultimately see that he was just stating the truth as he knew it to be, and in that moment probably had no idea whether Nacho was alive or dead, since unlike with Lalo neither Mike nor anyone else one would have had any reason to inform him either way. Honestly, seven years would have been a travesty of justice. It would have ended the series on a bitter, cynical note, the sort of ending that would have played best in the early 1970's. Also, realistically it's very unlikely Jimmy would have ever actually served his full sentence (effectively a life sentence). In my head cannon, between Kim advocating for him from outside (although not officially as a lawyer, since there's absolutely no way she could ever practice law again after that confession), and Jimmy making a nuisance of himself as an all-too-effective jailhouse lawyer, informally advising fellow inmates of legal strategies & ultimately getting some Really Bad People back out onto the street through legal technicalities, he gets out after 15-20 years. --Which leads directly to my brilliant idea for a further sequel series, in which an older, sixties-something Jimmy MgGill intervenes in the life of a young, rookie cop named named Mike Ermentrout moments before he takes his first bribe, and together they travel through time in the transformed husk of an old, shot-out Suzuki Esteem righting wrongs and helping people stay off of Bad Choice Road, Quantum Leap style.

Hello again, here are the explanations from episode 6 (no spoilers). 1) From this episode, it became known that when a demon dies, its power disappears, that is, if a demon is dead, its abilities no longer affect you. 2) So, now you know that demons can make contracts with people, where each side must fulfill its part. That is, if one side has fulfilled its part, then the other side must fulfill its part, the one who breaks the contract will die (I will tell you that contracts in the Chainsaw Man universe are very important and will play a big role in the future). From this episode, we also know that demons cannot make contracts with each other, only with people (you should remember this part for the future because it is important). 3) Eternity is not particularly feared because in everyday life you do not often think about eternity, because you are afraid of eternity only if you think about it too much, so the Demon of Eternity is not particularly strong and has average characteristics, but do not forget that he swallowed a piece of gun devil's flesh so that it would become much stronger. I would also like to talk about the abilities of the demon of eternity, namely that he can occupy a certain space and close or duplicate it and stop time in it, which in principle corresponds to his concept of eternity. I also wanted to mention his other ability, which is eternal regeneration, meaning he can infinitely regenerate his body without having to drink someone else's blood (if you remember, demons can regenerate by drinking someone else's blood, but emu doesn't have to do that, which is his specialty), and the only way to kill him is to destroy his heart, which he can MOVE INSIDE HIS BODY (that's why Denji's plan is to just torture him with pain so he kills himself). By the way, the Demon of Eternity is a great example of the fact that there are demons with peculiar concepts, which are not particularly feared because of this, they have average stats, but can have completely unique abilities thanks to their peculiar concepts, and these abilities can be quite strong and combative under certain conditions that compensate for their average stats. And the Demon of Eternity is a great example of that.
