I have learned a little about how to draw it on the stock from just watching you 'I now feel as I could maybe do this using circles and triangles to help me .

I like the idea of it and seems to work good, just wondering if that tube that goes into the barrel is replaceable if broken or buy a whole new loader ?

Great question. I think it's removeable, but I haven't verified.

I have tremors I was born with, this man handles them like a champ. He lets them flow in his body then tenses his muscles to lock him body to take the shot. Then lets them flow

I like muzzleloaders that are historically accurate in design. I am sure the rifles being portrayed in this video are nice shooters but you could not bring one to a reenactment that requires historical authenticity.

I have both Traditional and modern I enjoy both styles . I also hunt with Mil Surp. And modern day rifles . Guess what Ive harvested game with all. I get strange looks and comments about me hunting with a CZ 98/22 8mm in its original configuration. I also received comments about Hunting the Hard way with a Muzzleloader. I say hunt the way you want to and let others hunt their way. Cant we all get along!

How did people back in the day just drink from creeks and rivers did they have tougher stomachs or was infection and parasites just a known factor they dealt with

Known factor, and it comes up a lot in period accounts. People were sick and would write about spending days in pain

Good infor Ethan and I like the looks of that powder loader even though I use T7 pellets in my Accura V2 PR. I have left my pellets in mine for a month here in NE KY. Here in mid Oct we have a 2 day deer muzzleloading season and then rifle season mid Nov and mine shot well, took a nice doe with it.

Is it normal to get brown residue inside the barrel even after cleaning? It looks like rust to my eyes but a gunsmith said there was no problem. I want to believe him but it just doesn’t look right.
@ILoveMuzzleloading7 күн бұрын
Very common to have that. I call it “surface rust”, you can wipe the bore every few weeks to keep it away but I’m not worried about it. Very normal. I like Clenzoil, it does a good job at keeping the bore clean

I don’t….well…you can call powder coating a lube then yes. I tumble powder coat my 50 cal lee REAL real bullets with super blotchy thick coat and bake. They seat with a little force vs zero force non powder coated and lubed. Powder coating and no lube produces the best groups. With 60 grain of Pyrodex I can shoot 5 shots all in one big hole at 50 yards. No powder coating and lubed 4” groups at best.

I think it would be much more informative to do a low velocity shot and then a high velocity shot. I don’t think there’s much value in seeing just about everything give more than adequate wound tracks because they’re impacting at high speed. Performance at 1200-1300 fps is a LOT more important to know because it lets you know the real limits of performance. High velocity performance does not equate to low velocity performance. You should be able to get both shots in the same gel. Look up simple minded fella if you want some reference videos to model after and to see the point I’m making on bullet performance really only being tested on the low end.
