Your tanks impressive! Recently got a 250 and loving it! Got my two clowns and a cleaner shrimp, hoping to get some corals and enenemies eventually just waiting for tank to mature more!, Do you daily dose to keep your corals healthy?

I used to feed corals but not recently. They have grown big too fast.

How often to you feed your corals?
@AquariumDays
@AquariumDays 3 жыл бұрын
I used to spot feed corals every 2-3 days, but now not any more. I feed Mysis to fish, I think it’s good enough for them in my tank size. They are still growing.

How was keeping a clownfish solo? Im thinking of keeping only one specimen but not sure if that would reduce a lot of activity and make her shy/inactive. Thanks :)
@AquariumDays
@AquariumDays 3 жыл бұрын
@Brandon it was ok, she just hang with her anemone 24 hours and didn’t leave there even a min, but when I added another fish (not clown), she was a bit more active. Right now she is pairs and has more tank mates, she is very active now .

Do you dose any nutrients for the Xenia to grow that quick?
@AquariumDays

Not to specific to Xenia but I add amino acid. Maybe the light is growing it fast.

Hi I saw all your videos, they are very interesting. I'll stick around waiting for future updates. I have 3 question. Are you happy with the aquarium red sea 170 or would you rather have acquired another Aquarium company? How much time do you spend daily in the aquarium to keep it this nice? and approximately how much does the monthly maintenance of the aquarium cost, I have heard that marine aquariums are very expensive. Congratulations on such a beautiful aquarium.

@Ravent Thank you for your comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed my videos! I'm happy with current tank Red Sea 170, if I say one thing, I should've got bigger size, but 170 was maximum I could afford at this time. Bigger tank = you can add more fish like tang to eat algae. I spend about 10 min daily to feed, clean the glass, add water in the sump. I spend sometimes more time just to look at my tank lol. I do water change weekly, it takes about 20-30 min or so. It has cost a lot to start but monthly cost is depends what you add to the tank, besides fish and coral foods, I add Microbacter7, amino acid for corals, garlic guard (mix with mysis), baking soda (to adjust alkalinity), and salt (currently use aquaforest but considering to go back to Red Sea black bucket). I think it costs more on fish and corals than the cost of maintenance. Compared my previews nano tanks, I'm very happy with this Red Sea 170!
