Given that motor is 16s capable but you are running 12s, and that it is a larger can than the 800kv but lower kv. On 12s which would you say is faster, more powerful when each is geared according to KV? Basically on 12s is there any power/speed advantage with the larger can 560kv in your opinion or only cooler temps and reliability?

It’s a combo of things. Gearing and weight plays a big part. To bash on a 800kv on 12s your gearing gota be smaller and you mos def have to watch temps.With this 560kv and my gearing 51/25 its a great combo for torque and speed. Speed run would prolly go 48/28. Kraken vesla only has two gearing for electric versions, stock 56/20 or my gearing 51/25. Hopefully they come out with different motor mount or diff size gears to test it out. If your after speed go 800 if you want to bash go 560kv

What cans do you recommend for the Mad Max ESC? Damn buying another RC, I'm getting this Mad Max ESC. 6S-12S with insane power to the ground in those heavier larger 1/5th scales, and I haven't watched or heard they having any issues yet. Maybe it's just me, but this is one of the first videos I have viewed of the Kraken where it's not torque twisting all over the place, what did you do to keep the core of this RC from doing that?

Im still learning bro. Its trial and error at this point. I havent seen any vids of the vesla with a 560kv setup and this esc. The esc is super powerful and the gearing is very limited to fit the fixed ratio of the vesla. Kilowatt rc is running this esc with a 800kv hobbywing in a 5b and putting up crazy speed. I dont know his gearing but you prolly could reach out to him. With the torque twisting, its adaptive, its learning how to drive 2WD rigs. Im still learning. My diff fluid is 500k. It could be the tires or just the way im hitting the trottle. Idk. Im still learning bro.

It will be okay, the dirt will resettle and the dead grass will be fine. I think they need to get the metal, broken glass, and rocks out the field before worrying about growing grass and rc tracks.. imo…

Naw. Low voltage.. esc hottest temp was 146 degrees and motor was 189. It got hot, but low juice ended it for me. I need bigger batteries with Higher c rating too.

Thanks bro. Honestly, i didnt buy from a site, i purchased on ebay. Search for granite grom billet upgrades and list of parts and sellers pop up and i just ordered. Its all GPM aluminum parts too. All granite upgrades fit the typhon..

It's the batteries...I lost 2 innovation lipos last week..2wd dbxle with max4 combo.... batteries were super hot after running off-road for 2 min...I think we gotta gear way down with 2wd...& or better batteries

Thing with kraken vesla, to have steel gearing you cant gear down. 51/25 is it. I got smc lipos. Mine got to 96 degrees. The mad max esc didnt even hit 400a. But i agree, batteries play a huge huge part. Try smc , onyx or kilowattrc batteries. He got some true batteries out now as well

Batts was around 100 degrees. Keep in mind im in warmer temps out here in AZ too. Plus im not running any cooling fans. Smc make great batteries especially the high voltage pair i have. Honestly i may go with there drag packs. 250c. I know they wouldnt have any heat issues.

The Thing is kraken only lets you use 76T total for gearing and it’s not a lot of options on gearing sizes for the electric legshaft. Fir gas yes but for electric not yet. I learned the expensive way. Hopefully as taylor rc continues to build parts for them, they will make for gears for them too.
