I tried the TripleAliner in my 2018 Ridgeline. After trimming the sides of the mat I lifted the Inbed lid and it stayed open just like normal. I made a little bigger hinge cuts and cut a little more aggessive on the sides. Perhaps the deck’s hinges on my Ridgeline are a tighter than yours. Just wanted to let you know how it worked out. Thanks a lot for all your Ridgeline info, they have been very helpful.
@Koolbob22 күн бұрын
I'm glad to hear you got the TripleAliner to work so well for you. I still have the TripleAliner in my truck, I like that cargo is less likely to slide around and it's easier to blow out debris with a leaf blower. But the trunk lid is very difficult to lift with the liner and isn't close to staying up on my 2018, even though I've removed all the material on the sides of the liner where the hinge point is. I've considered cutting the hinge material completely out on the TripleAliner and attaching it with velcro so it won't blow out. I didn't notice any way to adjust the trunk lid springs, but hearing that it'w working so well for you I'll look at my springs again.

I’ve experimented with the exact same issues with exact same options. Of the 3 options I stuck with Eversolo. Been in the Apple Music arena since early iTunes. With this frustration, TIDAL connect may be in my future.

I was so hopeful the Eversolo would be the ultimate solution, but the pitiful remote casting experience and disappointing Eversolo DAC were deal breakers for me. I hope a future Eversolo, or other brand will emerge as the ultimate Apple Music player.

The best option I have found was to run Apple Music to a DAC (ifi hip dac 2) and then quality RCA cables to my integrated amplifier. For remote control, I use long RCA cable to my listening position but I don't like that option for obvious reasons. I am able, however, to get the bitrate switching via iPhone and remote control (w/volume). Only had to buy the DAC which also has a headphone amp which is great for travel.
@Koolbob25 күн бұрын
I considered using a long pair of RCA cables to place my iPad next to me, but was put off by the potential for tripping over the cables, or signal loss. It's really pitiful that Apple does not support remote screen mirroring/control between iPhone and iPad.
@mongo20445 күн бұрын
Another way now is iOS mirroring. Plug iPhone in and then access it from a mac to control music on it. But, of course, you will be using a mac. The floating iOS mirrored device is also tricky to use. At this point, it is bonkers that we can’t use iOS or iPads as high res streamers at DAC but control from other iOS/Pad from couch since, we see now, mirroring makes it possible. Argh, Apple!

Quick question, is it normal for the front wheels to sort of wobble on the axle/spindle? I just received the same exact set up but a 2024 and after going over everything, before operating, I happen to notice there’s an awful lot of play as if I need to pry off the plastic cap and tighten is down. - Thought I’d ask someone with the knowledge before prying stuff off already. 😅 Thanks.
@Koolbob25 күн бұрын
Hmm, hadn't heard of that issue before. Is the play where the spindle pivots to steer the mower or between the wheel and axle? Some models have ball bearings on the front wheels and those tend to be pretty snug fit, other models have bronze bushings pressed into the front wheels and it's normal for those to have a little play in them. Either way, be sure to grease the wheels and spindles at least once a season.

Thanks for watching, I hope the video was helpful. The 18" long battery ground cable is very common and you should be able to get one at any auto parts store, Walmart, Amazon, etc. One end is attached to the battery negative terminal and the other end is held in a convenient location with a zip tie. I'd certainly prefer to never have to jump start my truck, or help someone else with a dead battery, but it's best to be prepared. I do have an emergency jump starter pack, but the one time I tried using it it wasn't able to jump the other person'r van, even after leaving it connected to their battery for 15-minutes. I ended up using their jumper cables to get them on the road again. So long as you connect the jumper cables correctly, the chance of hurting either car is low. I NEVER trust anyone to hook up the jumper cables, either I do it or slag down someone else to help you.

@@gregoryjefferson6311 Do you mean the foam around the intake that seals against the large cover that gets over the headlights and radiator? If that's what you're talking about I think any 'generic' foam of similar size would work fine. You may get by with insulating foam from the hardware store, but if you can find some from an auto parts store it would probably be more heat resistant and last longer as well as having better adhesive.

Hi Koolbob 2. Didn’t you try an Apple TV device ? I don’t understand why isn’t among your options. You connect it through your TV to the HDMI eArc input. I understand some amps like the Marantz 70s also have HDMI in and out, so you may be able to go to the amp first and send the signal to the TV afterwards. I believe it’s the easiest way to stream lossless using your Apple TV’s remote control unit and having a giant image of your music in the screen.
@Koolbob213 күн бұрын
I have an extra Apple TV device, but I don't have a TV set up in my audio room, so I don't have any way to navigate/control the Apple TV. But I do have three great options available to me for almost free. iPad to DAC via USB (100% lossless, 44.1, 96 & 192 kHz) Cost = 'free' because I already had an unused iPad. Apple AirPlay 1 from my iPhone to an Apple AirPort Express to DAC via Optical (Mostly lossless at 44.1kHz) Cost = $15 to buy AirPort Express model A1264 on eBay. Apple Airplay 2 from my iPhone to Marantz CD50n (not lossless). Cost = Free. You can tell if your iPhone is connecting using the AirPlay 1 or AirPlay 2 protocol by the check mark next to the connected device when you enable AirPlay on your phone. AirPlay 1 has a simple check mark, AirPlay 2 has a check mark with a circle around it. Link to information on AirPort Express models and what they support. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPort... Thank you for making this video! You did an excellent job describing the removal and install! Not rocket science, but not knowing where to pry that plastic cover off (like you show how in the video) can cause some tabs breaking! Its so nice to learn that this mirror you dont have to run wiring, just unplug, and plug! We bought a new 2006 accord, new 2012 accord, new 2018 accord hybrid and i love that 2018 accord so much we kept it!, anyway they all came with homelink! My new 2025 crv hybrid sport touring DOES NOT! So, i have this garage door opener on the visor, and every time i push that button, it makes me think i didn't buy the top trim. I know I'm being petty, 1st world issue and all, and I really don't even want to complain because i love this crv so much! couldn'tnt believe how smooth of a ride it is, noticed right away! The 1st thing i ordered for it was all season floor mats. The factory floormats are a joke. They don't cover critical areas, I love the "3W" ones from amazon. Made a quick video on it and posted it on KZbin. The only other Kanker is no spare tire! I'm really tempted to order one and have it in the back, but that would suck up alot of hatchback room with it sitting on top of the floor. I'm trying to not worry about it! Last thing I want is to be stranded on the side of the road and have to get towed! I do have a spare rim/tire for the accord, to save some dough in not paying 400 bucks for a wheel tire and jack (or more). Anyway, I'm getting off topic! Thanks again, and have an awesome weekend!

Hi Fred! Thanks for watching. We've owned a lot of other brands of cars Audi (2), Volvo, Nissan and Toyota (3), but we think the Hondas his the sweet spot in the value/luxury/practicality/resale value matrix so we've purchased Accords (3), Ridgelines (2) and now our first CR-V. We always buy the top trim level and the CR-V is the first one without Homelink. It seems like a silly thing to delete for cost savings, but it is what it is and after only a few days with the clicker clipped to the sun visor I gave in and bought the OEM homeland mirror. Driving in the 80s and 90s it wasn't uncommon to have a flat tire occasionally. But they seem to be a lot less frequent these days, the last one I had was when I ran over a nail in my new 2012 Ridgeline. The leak was slow enough that I just drove across town to the tire repair shop and they plugged the tire for free. After that flat I purchased a pair of air compressors for our cars that run off of the car battery and can pump tire sealer in as they add air, just like the one in the CR-V. I'm fine with the CR-V not having a spare tire since my wife isn't strong enough to change her own flat tire, but she could operate the pump/sealer that is in her CR-V. Of course we also have AAA, free roadside assistance from our auto insurer and Honda, so we have lots of options.

We don't have a big lot but maneuver around things while blowing on the patio, courtyard, etc., it gets annoying. So much nicer and easier with the 57. Pick it up and go. I got an extra battery. It even blows wet leaves easily. Doing the same job to compare, it was faster to use the 57. Position and dragging the cord on the electric added time and effort. Best thing we have bought in a while.

I keep the BGA56 in the garage and use it for blowing leaves out of the garage at least once a week, it's my go to for clearing the patio, driveway and sidewalk after every mowing. I also use it to dry off the cars after washing them. With fall on the way I'll soon fire up the SH86c for the first time since last fall to clear our big yard of leaves and vacuums up the leaves in the flower beds next to the house where it isn't practical to blow the leaves into the yard. You got me thinking that drilling a few rows of holes at the back of the cabinet would accomplish the same goal. Either with a larger drill bit or smaller hole saw. Probably just a 3/8” drill bit. Make a stencil. Use it for top and bottom. Would be good enough for venting while keeping structure solid and stuff from falling through. Also to help cut down on dust, cover the holes on top of cabinet with a 1-3” tall cover with an open side towards the front.
@Koolbob2Ай бұрын
I had the same thought, but decided to go for the big slot all the way across. I'm not feeling a lot of air movement through the slot, so I think the new refrigerator doesn't circulate as much air as my old one did. I'd be concerned that 3/8" holes will be too small and might clog with dust too easily. I'd suggest drilling at least a dozen 1" holes with a hole saw. More holes or even larger than 1" would be better IMHO. The angled cover I put over the holes in the top of the cabinet is shielding a lot of dust from falling into the cabinet from above and since it's stained to match the cabinet you hardly notice the slot at the back of the cabinet when you open the cabinet doors.

You missed one very important upgrade…a VCM disabler. Variable cylinder management will shorten your engine life by running it on 3 cylinders. Look into this modification, doesn’t cost much and very easy to install.

I agree that personalizing your vehicle is a lot of fun. IMHO the Honda engineers know what they are doing and I'm not convinced that mods like cold air intakes, oil catch cans, pedal commanders and VCM disablers improve the vehicle's performance, milage or longevity.

Good question. I'm not at home so I don't know precisely, but about 120.
