We had a question come up that we couldn't find a yes or no in the rulebook. Can you build multiple pyramids in a region?

I think there's an error in the video with the Faro tokens placed on the wrong board spot for the "losing card". They should be on the 7 card spot, but are instead on the 9 card spot.

In round 13 you did miss to resolved the “Apocalypse” card, just if you want to correct with some text in the video,.. Great video to leard how to play the solo mode,.. seems like I doing it right 😊

Just a note since it seems more people have been popping on here since the game released. This how to play was done from a prototype rulebook back when the game was still on Kickstarter. I don’t know if everything is still fully accurate to the version they shipped.
@The7yph00n3 жыл бұрын
on your first marketplace placement, you forgot to take one extra resource, so by that early miss your game probably lost 5 to 10 % of its points total. so i dont understand at all why you used 4 franc in the beginning to buy that building...

I'm using this video to show my wife how to play. She loves butterflies and I'm always trying to find board games that will get her attention, as she is not an avid gamer in general. I think this explains the game really well in a way that will get her attention. The only two other games I could get her interested in were Azul and Kingdomino, and this has elements of both.

At 50:08 after the dragon kills off your 2nd cat shouldn't it have been able to do one more action and move closer to your last character?
@TheBluePlayer5 жыл бұрын
You are correct - However upon review it wouldn't have changed the outcome as I would have still been a space away from doing any damage and he would have still been just out of range. I think it might have ended up with my cat taking 1 damage prior to killing the dragon. Good catch!

It would be cool to see a version of these area control games coming from the African continent. There are several to choose from. Just saying. Central Africa Bantu mythology (Central, Southeast, Southern Africa) Bushongo mythology (Congo) Lugbara mythology (Congo) Baluba mythology (Congo) Mbuti mythology (Congo) Dinka religion (South Sudan) Hausa animism (Chad, Gabon) Lotuko mythology (South Sudan) East African[edit] Bantu mythology (Central, Southeast, Southern Africa) Akamba mythology (Kenya) Maasai mythology (Kenya, Tanzania, Ouebian) Kalenjin religion (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania) Dini Ya Msambwa (Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Kenya) Southern Africa[edit] Bantu mythology (Central, Southeast, Southern Africa) Lozi mythology (Zambia) Tumbuka mythology (Malawi) Zulu mythology (South Africa) San religion (South Africa) Traditional healers of South Africa Manjonjo Healers of Chitungwiza of Zimbabwe West Africa[edit] Akan religion (Ghana, Ivory Coast) Dahomean religion (Benin, Togo) Efik mythology (Nigeria, Cameroon) Edo religion (Benin kingdom, Nigeria) Hausa animism (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, Togo) Odinani (Igbo people, Nigeria) Serer religion (A ƭat Roog) (Senegal, Gambia, Mauritania) Yoruba religion (Nigeria, Benin, Togo) West African Vodun (Ghana, Benin, Togo, Nigeria) Dogon religion (Mali)

It wouldn't surprise me if Mezo American gods are used because they are essentially dead religions. Less of a misappropriation and misrepresentation minefield. Probably why you also get a lot of Greek/Roman and Viking games. Not sure about Shinto because I think that is still active.

Seems to similar to Rising Sun to have them both on my collection. And the price tag makes that decision even easier to make.
@TheBluePlayer6 жыл бұрын
Tiago Soares I can see feeling that way. I personally like this better than rising sun on theme and gameplay. It’s worth owning both I think but I can understand the way you feel as well.
@XShrike05 жыл бұрын
I haven't played this yet but, I do see the similarity. What drew me to this, after playing Rising Sun, is there isn't any team making mechanic. I didn't like the whole team making and tile mechanic of Rising Sun. It kind of felt tacked on and never really saw the betrayal tile used, even from players that wanted low honor. Combat is also simpler.

$130? Ok, I won't buy that. Maybe retail.

Justin Rizzo I think it’s worth the price tag personally for the all in, but I can definitely see the other side of that as well. I hope you get a chance to play it even if you don’t back it. It’s a great game and I fell in love with it long before I agreed to do a rules video for it!

Hey, Thomas! Thank you for checking out our previous campaign. We were going into week 4 with ~55% funding and had really flatlined after day 3. I was honored and humbled to receive the support from people that we did; however, the marketing and presentation wasn't there, and the game was in a more complex state. We spent a lot of time this spring and summer streamlining and improving the game and getting ourselves out into the world (Dice Tower Con and GenCon, for instance). All of the people who have played the previous version and where we are now will tell you the game is so much better for it. The first campaign was a wonderful lesson in falling down but getting back up stronger than before. If you want to check out our new campaign, here's a preview link: www.kickstarter.com/projects/vatales/227236749?ref=521886&token=6b450f7e Best wishes to you!

Since you previewed both this game & Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done I was wondering how they compare. I understand the primary mechanism is different (rondel vs. action programming) but does it feel similar? I already kickstarted the one game but didn't want to do this one as well if they scratch the same itch. Hope you can give me some insight before this kickstarter ends ~ thanx!
@TheBluePlayer6 жыл бұрын
No - This one and Crusaders feel very different to me. I can definitely see some comparisons, but Crusaders doesn't give the feeling of area control and dare I say it a small 4x type feeling that I get when I play Rurik. Rurik feels a little closer to a game like say Inis to me than to Crusaders. Also Crusaders doesn't have any player v player combat to it. Overall I like Rurik a lot better, but I will happily have both of them in my collection.
