Looks okay... not my oppinion... don't like concret in relation to wood... And the concret-work is incomplete: the edges are to sharp... not 90°, there must be fased to 45° by 5 mm.... otherwise the edges will be damaged soon.... in shorter while!!! Each concretworker knows it!!!

@ShalohaCreationsАй бұрын
If you watched the video you would see that I made a thermal layer that sits in the concrete not allowing it to over heat. After 4 years the oven is still going strong.. just made pizzas this last week..

Nice! I'm getting some ideas for my own and I'm definitely going to incorporate a few magnets. But since most of what I do is metal work I anticipate a lot of metal shavings getting stuck there. I wonder if you're getting a lot of that? For mine I might make the magnets removable from the inside so I can easily remove shavings/dust.
@ShalohaCreations2 ай бұрын
@@lankplank Making them removable is a brilliant idea. They do collect shaving, usually when I lay it down somewhere I shouldn’t or it hits the floor ;) 🤙👍

Silly question, the type of table u are using, can you put casters on it, i have the same type of table on my juki, but i was wondering if this type of table can take casters. its quite heavy for me to move when im trying to clean my sewing room, any advice is greatly appreciated. ty.
@ShalohaCreations4 ай бұрын
The table is not designed to accept casters but I think it wouldn’t be that hard to do. I would use the locking kind so that it wouldn’t roll 😊around while using it.

It looks like you're NOT using fire bricks even on the floor. How has the oven held up after years of use? Any cracking anywhere?
@ShalohaCreations4 ай бұрын
Those are fire bricks on the floor, but the are just what they call half bricks. Same brick used on the construction of the dome. They wee a special order at my local builders supply. Ovens holding up great, no cracks yet 🤙

Joshua, I just ran across you and your videos today. This is the first and only one i have watched so far. Very nicely done. I am curious about the ratio of ingredients for your rust solution.
@ShalohaCreations4 ай бұрын
@@jeffclark3932 Thanks Jefclark3933. I usually do a 1:1 or 2:1 vinegar to peroxide. I squirt a little soap in the mix to help hold it on the metal and a bit of salt.. the ratio doesn’t have to be precise. I’ve mixed it a variety of ratios and it always seems to work just fine as long as the metal is clean. 🤙

Nice, but those tools are pretty pricey if you don't already have one. What I'd do, just as an idea, is make the seat just slightly too big to fit the copper fitting, then heat the fitting a lot. Should slide right on, and then shrink fit as it cools. It might singe the wood a bit I guess, so YMMV, try it on scrap first. (I've done the inverse with a wheel bearing, shrank the hub axle wih dry ice, worked like charm.)
