love all the stuff you're doing. How did you get into all it? Ive always had a passion for building and want to know ways of getting better!

Thanks John Paul Stark. I too have always had a passion for building and creating. I think my best advice would be to always try to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and never stop learning. I often find myself in projects that feel out of my league and then as I work through them one step at a time they become less daunting. .....and I watch a lot of KZbins when I get stuck😜

Where did you get the plates from. The one with the pattern?
@ShalohaCreations3 жыл бұрын
Those are called Skelton sheets or plates. They came from a local welding shop that does a lot of cnc cutting projects. They are just what’s left over after the parts have all been cut out. I got several of them for free bc they were just going to through them out or send them to the recycler.

Again, beautiful. --BUT-- I have what I know is a huge request: Please PLEASE add to your descriptions (or a link to a simple text file on Poodle Docs) a gradually growing list of the tools, equipment, paint, special refractory cement, bits & pieces used to construct a big ass log slabbing sawmill, etc... Even better (but a lot more work) would be a similar text file w/ a few hand or CAD sketches (and appropriate legal caveats) of your designs, with measurements, material descriptions, the hows & whys, the mistakes & lessons learned. I would so subscribe. And so would thousands more, I'm sure. Now that I think about it.... I've watched maybe three or four videos so far. And I have three more cued up.... So I'm assuming the young lady there is your daughter. Get her involved (she's at the PERFECT age for this... your son, too if he's interested). How? Have her do more of the filming, the video editing, AND content creation (like the description/construction files and drawings I'm talking about). Get a Shaloha website, upload this content, some should be free (see KZbinr "Pask Makes")... and PAY her! a small amount up front -PLUS- 50% of all plan/doc sales. You make beautiful, clever, well thought out stuff. And you are good at the teaching and editing. But I WANT MORE DETAILS! And I'm certain I am not the only one. And while I can watch what you have posted here and make my own drawings and they will be 'close', your could make my life easier (like what is that cutting torch you use?) and I will PAY you for that effort. Not a LOT, mind. But $20 for a half dozen dimensioned drawings, with BOM and special eqpt lists would be a deal. $10 would be a steal. Please consider. I typed this off the top of my head, and I'm seriously ADHD, so I hope you forgive my incongruous and missing thoughts.

Thanks again Ellsworth.. I couldn’t agree more.. these are all thing I would like to do and have available for my subscribers. I’m trying to balance all of the KZbin stuff with home life and actually making things. I’m also in the middle of getting product into local dealers and galleries along with an e-commerce sight. So kinda got my hands full at the moment. Hopefully I will get to the point where I can afford to hire out some of the work. 🤙
