Thanks, yeah! Reason I wasn't was that I'm just uncertain about performance/lag. Not sure how much viewports affect blob vs. AI, but my biggest worry is lagging out in a fight Agree I could've helped that one blob nucleus that was close to dying a little more, I think they were watching it tho and since the attackers ran off I had just assumed they were okay. Rip.

Its a rare antag role so its not too shocking that there are very little vids on it. Its one of the more interesting roles so its kinda sad its as rare as it is.

Not too familiar with Swarmers, but briefly looking at the TG wiki, it seems at least for Flockdrones they are similar. Flock has more stuff I think, like buildings you can make, when you play you are an intangible entity that can take control of Flockdrones, and you have castable abilities. It's majority AI controlled. There's also an end goal for winning. Seems like Swarmers is more player/drone focused

@@FlameArrow57 Swarmers is more trying to consume the station without hurting anyone, honestly wished swarmers were like flockmind since it has way more stuff and you have a end game cuz swarmers end game is consume and try to get to cc

@@FlameArrow57 TG swarmers didn't have a win condition. they existed solely to show up and make everything exponentially worse before their spawning beacon was located and destroyed. They were appropriately pulled for giving dead/observing players severe power to adversely affect the round, for effectively free. (running away from the spawn beacon and then devouring the vault to deny materials to the entire server was a common strategy)

A Flockmind is radio entity that seeks to use the station's resources to transmit the Signal, it's final goal on the station. It uses Flockdrones, which can do things like convert items to resources, cage people, and convert tiles, and Flockbits, which solely convert tiles, to help. It can also make Flocktraces, player controlled versions of itself, to help. There's structures you can build, and the ultimate goal is to gain enough "Compute," which increases by converting computers to Compute Nodes, or making certain structures that increase compute, which allows you to build the Relay. When the Relay's been up for some time, it transmits, and you win. There's a wiki page too if you want to read some more: wiki.ss13.co/Flockmind

Yep! Flock has a mechanic where AI controlled Flockdrones won't attack you unless you attack something in the Flock first. Flock just wants to build its Relay, but that inevitably leads to conflict with using the station's resources, meaning the station may be the first attacker. Though Flockminds and Flocktraces can manually target people as enemies, so it comes down to who wants to attack first if at all, but attacking isn't necessary.

Haha, yeah, it was quite the tug of war. It maybe could've gone a little better if I had focused more on ectothermids. Yeah not sure about the fire resistance. I guess like for standard attack items like extinguishers it won't help much unless you increase fire resistance a lot, but not really familiar with the history of blob balancing

Ye no clue on the balancing but it does seem a bit easy for the crew to walk in and suddenly the entire screen is fire and almost every single blob tile in view is gone. If fire is that effective against the blob it should at least turn the crew to a crisp as well but they were just kinda bathing in it. Though the blob did seem to be able to expand really quickly as well so idk, in general it looked more like a battle of the clicks and latency than any sort of tactics!

I feel like part of the issue with blob's balancing is also something ling experiences, in that it requires experience to perform well, and it's much easier for people to develop experience fighting against them than it is for the person playing the antag to get the required experience, because goon1 is highpop hell and goon2 is dead now, so rolling antag is really uncommon, plus most of the time it won't be the antag you're trying to get more experience with.

Yeah it's been released! Still some more stuff/reworks to be implemented though. The boxes eat clothing items off of people, and once no more clothing it eats their limbs and organs. It uses the resources from that to make Flockdrones. People can escape cages by moving around or flipping which damages the cage Right now, Flockmind can appear solo roundstart in mixed modes, or it can appear as a midround antag spawn, which comes with a Flocktrace. Flockminds can create player controlled Flocktraces, which are like Flockminds but they have a smaller set of castable abilities and they can die easier.

Yeah, bit unfortunate. I think I was also thinking about closer to catering storage since there's at least a computer there, but still kind of close to the kitchen. CE's room could be interesting if no engineers around

Am beginning to suspect that it's because i only have the free to play version of sc2 as neither of those suggestions seem to work for me. I can't find it in top played list and the link opens my battlenet app but doesn't go anywhere. I appreciate the help none the less tho as any help at this stage is welcome. Oh, cool! Yeah, I've seen some videos of it, looks pretty fun, but I haven't tried it myself. This one is pretty nice in some ways, but new features have been a little slow to come unfortunately.

@@FlameArrow57 It's pretty similar but this honestly seems like a much more improved version of Parasite 1 n 2. They both have their charm and are a Warcraft 3 classic, but this is certainly much more refined and interesting for what can happen. I've been watching you for a while now and it's always nice to see the SC 2 content, especially something like this. Highly underrated game and Blizzard is honestly sleeping on a gold mine of what they could do with it, but I also half don't trust them to do it proper.
