thanks so much for this vid! as a massive martyn lore enthiusiast it's great to have something i can easily show them to explain the lore rather than rambling on for an hour myself, and you summarised everything so well! (also for other ppl watching, post-wild life martyn clarified that jimmy wasn't rlly cursed, the watchers just liked his pain of being first out every time, so iirc tried to keep it that way for a while through influencing things like mob spawning, but eventually it just became something he'd be getting used to (and so something that wouldn't be as good a source of emotion), so they let that go. but yeah not a fault of the vid at all because that lore stream wasn't out yet)

I wonder how the lore will be updated for wild life... because I'm gonna be real, it didn't even feel like a 'watcher' created game... the players are having too much fun with the different wild cards for the watchers to feed. Grian even says "stop having fun! this is supposed to be a death game!"

9:35 Irony of this is that I'm pretty sure she had to have voluntarily joined, because there's a TON of evidence suggesting that Gem is either a Watcher or equal to one. They might have put her in to keep an eye on people, which doesn't fit with the soul swap. Meaning she's likely the celestial being that was suggested in the Empirescraft crossover. Also with her superpower in that last WildLife session, what if that's actually her real powers? What if that's how she can simultaneously be a sun princess and an elf? Maybe also, that's how she soul swapped with Cleo. It makes sense that, because she had never been apart of Evo or the Life series, either Hermitcraft or just Gem's wanderings as a celestial being were how she was connected with the Listeners. Lizzie, being a Life member, makes sense, but Gem's an anomaly, unless you consider the possibility that she has otherworldly powers. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

I have my own theory I thought of Soo what if gem is secretly a listener the season she joined (secret life) was the first time the canary curse was broken and in wild life he still wasn’t first out what if gem went against the watchers and set jimmy free from the canary curse even since it’s been causing chaos such as scar being tapped and just repetitively getting the win secret life task and the entire point of wild life is that every session there’s a new wild card which is literally a chaotic twist every session The body swapping was all part of the listeners plan to get a listener(gem) in the game so that they would be even since grian is a watcher The watchers would see gems potential and would have to add her to the game Gem also gets the ability to spectate in wild life which means she can talk to the dead players and so she could keep an eye on the watchers this was set up by the other listeners and martyn gets the ability to listen in on conversations so he can listen in on the listeners for the watchers And what if any of the winners that were in evo have connections to the watcher (Even if they don’t realize it) and gem found out about this after she died in secret life that’s why she has a hatred for pearl in wild life because of her connection to the watchers

Technically, why aren't we the watchers? We watch the lifers play, and we enjoy the drama that happens just like the watchers. We also created secret tasks in secret life (the ones recommended by the audience)

My favourite secret life theory is that the canary curse wasn't actually disrupted, because lizzie never actually dies and is endlessly falling in the void! which is also why Scar kept getting the "win secret life" book, because he wasn't truly the last player left alive
