How can anyone ask women to go out into "the world" and stand up for themselves and at the same time a lot of men and women within "the church" are trying to silence women and say they cannot do what God called them to do in "the church," because of hard to understand passages in the Bible. There is no verse in the Bible that says you must be "male" to be in leadership (ex. pastor, deacon, elder) in the church. So while women are being told they are less than males, you want us to go into "the world" and stand up for ourselves. We need to get this right in the church first.. Either women are equal with men before God in social standing and in the church, or we are NOT! And God says we ARE EQUAL. That means within the church as well. I attended this church for several years. I remember him talking about this failure which I would never assume was with a minor and how it was something he sill had to fight and his wife was aware of his struggle. Who let him lead a church??? This is a betrayal on SO many levels. Masquerading as a godly leader, a father and a husband while trying to cover up that he stole a 12 year old child's innocence when her family trusted him and not once but for a period of 4 + years..
