It's a beautiful visualization of what Shanghai could become in the future. However, I don't see this becoming a reality by 2030 anywhere in China... especially if they continue to build the same box apartments over and over like they are already doing in their major cities. This would require a major socio-economic change in China in order for the architecture and much less internet freedom of this magnitude to become a reality in its cities. But I do hope Shanghai will look like this... it's already projected to become one of the great cities of the planet and hopefully they will plan accordingly.

make a big size bus instead that that would be better than this ,because there is so many problem in this model, like truck can hit the roof accidently.

U just considered one side of the problem.Think about that when U encounter a traffic jam, all cars can not move, but Straddling Bus can.

I see several problems in this design. Which you can clearly see when this thing corners. It corners too sharp for it's body modules, which either causes it to hit the traffic underneath or derails the whole bus. Since there is no technology available to make one side shorter then the other side in the video and that on turn will basically squish the people inside it. Only way to solve this is by just replacing the bus and adding in a tram lane or metro instead. This can be elevated from the roads and/or placed under the roads. As it has been done since they were invented over 100 years ago. Problem number 2 is the elevator system, If you want to keep the roads clear for cars for example, you can not add in a elevator system looking like that. It will cause people to either crash into it or being crushed. Problem number 3 is the current height of their models, it is only high enough for the smaller Asian and Western cars. They did not consider that even bigger trucks will be passing underneath it. Which would obviously crash into the bus or the bus will collide with them These are just 3 problems of the many, this 'bus' will never be reality. The concept is too flawed from the start and is there for seriously unrealistic Problem number 4 is the speed of people getting on and off this bus. Let's use a conventional station vs. the elevator system in this thing. Even with each car having it's own lift system you still end up taking a lot longer then a conventional station. Let me explain: The elevator needs to be lowered down to the floor which takes time. You need to wait until the elevator is full, then get it back up to the bus. vs. Open your doors, passengers can get in and out at the same rate This meaning that a steady flow of people actually will be a lot faster for commuters then a elevator system. There for making the bus late at each stop and it's commuters angry at the bus company and the driver. Sooner or later you will get angry people who turn to violence as well thanks to this. The idea may be interesting but not very well thought out, unless the idea is to make people angry during their travels... Problem 5 is the solar panels on the top. They are not angled towards the sun, so these will not gain as much power as they could to start with. Adding in that tall buildings will block the sun out from the roads and you have a recipe for disaster on your hands since the bus won't be getting much power out of them at all. Which makes it a rather expansive thing to place on top of a bus unless you place this bus in a open desert for example where it still will only get part of the sun's rays since it's solar panels are not angled. Problem 6 are the 'slides' for emergencies. These are to high off the ground to be any good for passengers reaching the ground safely. People are bound to break bones and those with weaker bodies such as the elderly for example will likely have a higher chance of dying thanks to this. Not even mentioning wheelchair users who clearly have no chance of survival unless other passengers help them down which is likely not happening in panic mode. It may be wise to add in inflatable slides that can do the job a lot better.
It's a good idea but what if someone want to turn left or right or bigger trucks can't get over on the left lane?

The little soliloquy in the beginning was: "With China's history behind and the future of the Far East ahead" A few of the more noteable descriptions: "Will be Sinosteels material, transportation logitics as well as R&D for China East(XingJiang),Beijing-Shandong area, and NE China(Manchuria)" The aspects of the design highlights are self explanatory, the 2200 refer to max cars in garage/ Basement. It will (hope to) be a leader and standard in the world stage and this is where it will formulate its battle plans. Honestly, they need a English(w stdrd) commentator first, I think. The building apparently reflects both Chinas cultural heritage as well as wordly technological tech of being energy conservative, and green in 6 different ways. It hopes to be a landmark and cultural icon/image in TienTsin beginning 2010. Honestly. In every aspect it should be culturally as well as internationally appeasing. It is green and like a great building, grand, actually forget that....it's massive. Each floor has a 4m floor to ceiling and the insides looks spartan and reminescent of Apple building interiors (White/Spartanish/Modern curves). However, this was done my a 'reowned' modern artiste. The end product is one ugly building that looks infested on the outside multiplied by size so it becomes a HUGE eyesore. It is is neither aesthetically appeasing nor 'pretty' in any sense. The only saving grace is that it can't be called 'lacking' in culture. I'm guessing the hexagonal pattern reflects Chinas long love of using the shape for pagoda and tower bases and using it vertically as a design for the outside is 'innovating'. Combine those two and you have "Energy and Heritage", but imagine if you will what a normal and unconcerned person toward modern art would view this as, first impressions are everything and it will be broadly and generally viewed as a FUBAR

I think modern artist forget that this modern art started out as in self mockery. Hell. One of the firsts "the Fountain" by Marcell Duchamp did it as an joke and was so embarassed that he put R.Mott instead his own name. He only made few more copies because they sold well and although famous, he was broke. I hope art today honestly would do a self assessment of what it means to be art (aesthetically appeasing to broad audience) and pull the head from out the rear in which they have so wonderfully shoved.
