As far as I understand it, the process is essentially the same as backing up games from the system. Although, I’m not sure Citra can run those apps well. (I haven’t really tried.) If you’re looking for a more concrete guide though, it might be worthwhile to try browsing for archived versions of Citra’s website through the Wayback Machine. I have the main guide still linked in this video’s description. That URL should give you a decent place to start digging.

I was considering the GameCube version of this replacement kit and in order not to waste a functional gamepad I had a look at replacement shells. Only problem is prices. And the fact that those kits, cool as they are, introduce MORE batteries in our homes, to “ironically” replace devices that worked fine WITHOUT batteries.
@GameXData
@GameXData 6 күн бұрын
For Gamecube in particular, I feel like the biggest benefit will be for folks who want a (slightly) cheaper Wavebird alternative. Having another battery to charge sucks. However, there also aren't very many good wireless Gamecube-compatible controllers with the standard Gamecube layout these days.
@superleggenda
@superleggenda 6 күн бұрын
@@GameXData not sure how much cheaper. A used controller will set you back 20/25 euros, then there is the mod kit, and you are “killing” a working pad to start with. Shells are sometimes even pricier, and maybe they are not perfect. I recently got an 8bitdo Pro 2 and it is pretty good. Paired with the GameCube Bluetooth dongle it is a bit more expensive it it has 3x the battery.
@GameXData
@GameXData 5 күн бұрын
@superleggenda That might be more of a regional pricing issue, tbh. Here in the US, Mod Kit, Receiver, and used controller would cost about $60 - $70 altogether. Wavebird prices tend to start at around $75 to $80 in mixed condition (unless someone gets lucky). Also, I wouldn’t recommend using the mod kit on a functioning controller. Reproduction shells or for parts controllers (especially with busted cables) are generally the best mod kit candidates.

While I love my PlayStation TV, never forget that Sony opted to not allow you to connect your Vita to a TV instead because they thought they would sell more of these, and then they proceeded to give up immediately and not support the device even beyond one year. When they went on sale, I bought up a bunch and gave them out as birthday and Christmas gifts that year. It's an easy way for me to take a ton of PlayStation 1 and indie games around without taking up that much space in my go-bag. It's the definitive way I play Dissidia Duodecim.

"Makes the entire handheld feel cheaper" well its not an Ayaneo device is it? I think this handheld is great for anything up to ps1, i wouldn't use it for anything more than that. For n64 and up i would buy a different handheld. I think Anbernic's decision to make different handhelds with the same chip is a decent idea, it means a lot of already available custom firmware will work, or might only need a slight adjustment in development and people can choose whatever form factor fits them the best. I don't mind it not being as pocketable as the others, but that's the whole idea. If i wanted something more pocketable with with this chipset and power i would just get the Anbernic RG35XX plus or a Miyoo mini plus. Just having that bigger 4 inch screen is so nice, especially with my favorite console the SNES. The whole problem in todays market is how quick enthusiasts are to buy a device they might not even need. I have the original RG35xx which doesn't even have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, so getting the RG40XXV is a welcome upgrade.

4:37 Nintendo has done this since the Wii i think. They don’t want you to use their controllers with anything else but official Nintendo consoles. They are especially afraid they’ll get used in playing Nintendo roms in emulators. The NES mini and SNES mini controllers randomly switch the input signals so they never work right on an emulator but a Nintendo console can decrypt the scramble. So of course it has input lag by default.

I have the top level SP11 (32gb ram, 1tb ssd, oled). Simply: I hate it. I stood my SP9 next to the SP11. The OLED was barely brighter and the vibrance was nearly imperceptible. I don’t have the “screen door effect”, which is good. One thing I do like about the screen is the anti-glare coating. THAT makes quite a difference and is great! As for performance…eh. Everything I have has to go through the emulator with one exception: Age of Empires…it wont run on it, at all. Speaking of games, I’m not a gamer, but I do like the FX3 Pinball which runs fantastically on my SP9. While it runs on the SP11, its jittery and not worth it to play. Maybe one day when there is a lot more ARM software I’ll purchase it, but as of now, I’m returning it. The SP9, for me, has been a really awesome machine. I’ve seen reviews where it lags, and stutters, but I have never experienced any of that. Its fast, responsive, and is really enjoyable just to hold. The ONE thing I don’t like about the SP9: serene screen (you know, the fish screensaver) doesn’t run correctly and the fish get smeared as they swim. I LOVE that screensaver so its really disappointing and I’m hoping it’ll run in the future. FYI, serene screen has the same issue on the SP11.

Wow, what a great review and presentation, simplifying all average user needs. Thanks. One question though, regarding the use of copilot on surface pro 11 , is it smooth and performance not effected on the X Plus ? Is it recommended to use AI features on the X Plus, or worth upgrading to Elite and the price difference between them?

I don't expect these manufacturers to give me a great out of the box software experience - it's a given that I'll put CFW on any Linux handheld. So apart from that, I don't see what the flaws and issues are supposed to be here...? These handhelds have come a long way and this is good quality for a budget price.

I'd recommend using USB-A to USB-C cables for budget devices like this. C-to-C charging often isn't made available due to hardware limitations and, even when it is, can put strain on the battery due to how cheaply these handhelds are made.

I tried this, And I also couldn't get any audio to work over auxiliary. What's worse is it used to for me and I've had to reflash to update the software when I was having issues getting it to display. It took two reflashed to get Bluetooth working, and auxiliary never did I also initially couldn't get a PS4 controller to connect to it, and worse yet, with this plug-in installed it completely disables the face buttons (save for the PS button) whenever I'm trying to play PS1 games through adrenaline. After a little bit of research I realized this is because I have one plug-in missing: ds4touch by MERLev. However even with this, I cannot by any means recommend using that, because on adrenaline running PlayStation 1 games, no inputs work on either the consoles buttons itself or the connected controller (save for the PS button), making PS1 games unplayable Instead I recommend using the plugin ds4vita by xerpi

My first guess is that this is due to the RG40XXV not technically being supported yet. Though, from some initially searching, it seems like it might also be an issue with the supported RG40XXH. One Reddit post I found mentions a patch to fix it: www.reddit.com/r/rg40xx/s/Wc5dmN68Kd

How can it scratch that vita itch when it cannot even do vita and barely any psp games? I almost ordered this but found out it cannot do psp well, speakers are hidden, triggers and sticks suck.
@GameXData
@GameXData 11 күн бұрын
From my testing, the PSP games it can't play well are rarer than the ones it can. My guess is that there's an optimization issue with the CrossMix version of PPSSPP. Even still, there's no reason I can't use either a TSP or Vita depending on my use case. There's no reason I gave to only keep one and throw out the other. As for the other critiques, the speakers sound good for its price range, the sticks don't feel too different from a Vita, and the triggers are perfectly serviceable.

If it's still acting up after updating, reinstalling (or downloading the portable version of Cemu) might be a good next step in case you're running into a random installation issue.

Delta for ios can natively run DS games and allows you to airplay onto any compatible device and have your casted sccreen as the top and your phone or ipad as the bottom touch version. You then can connect a controller via blutooth. With that you can also use an apple pencil or any other as a stylus with the bottom piece as a touch screen.
