I have no idea how you made the background, I will assume you did not, perhaps its a printed piece that match all the ink colors. I did see how you cut the dies, and stamps images out. did not see how oh learn why you stick images into the stamp sleeve, talking about magnets. I know they must hold the dies. that way the stamps and dies are together. took me awhile to realize that. I actually like to stamp onto my cardstock with a hard cushion mat underneath too. I get a better image. Don't understand why you rub the stamp or the stamp holder onto your arm. that part has me puzzled. The whole making of the card was demonstrated! you stay really well into the camera view. I enjoyed your story but it wasn't related to what you were doing. so eventually had to turn the sound off so I could concentrate on the card part. Just guessing why you made both of the dies white. when you colored the blooms two different colors? perhaps you wanted to put them behind the circle to break up all the color. just don't know. I don't know when this video was made, wondering if the products are still available guess I will have to see on the website. Also why is this called a sketch party. No sketching involved that i could see. Mabey its just a term I don't know. ha ha . It turned out really pretty, think your amazing at doing two different things at once. Does stamping up give directions with all the stamp kits now? Do you make your own envelopes? You mentioned party's. so I take it you sell the cards at these parties. my first time watching you. can't say that I will come back.

It’s so different from being in person- I’m slowly learning- your feedback is invaluable! I’ll work on giving more details Every Video! Your guesses on my process and some of your questions are spot on - it is a printed piece, is still available, magnet sheets to hold dies better, so they don’t fall off.. white dies for texture/ to break up color.. You are just so lovely and gracious. You will not regret coming along this journey with SU! I have noticed that you guys all put your dies in with the stamps. I really think you guys will regret it. The stand alone dies can be used for so many things and you won’t remember what you have. It will be out of sight, out of mind. The mat you used is called the Samp and pierce mat, so yes, it is intended to stamp on with the photopolymer stamps. Yes, you DO need to “season” your stamps. They come to you from the factory covered in the release agent used to remove the stamps from the molds. If you don’t season them the ink can kind of bubble up on the stamp surface. So keep it up. The ink pads are easier to use if you put wax or Vaseline in the grooves and slide it back and forth. Speaking of the ink pads, I have heard that SU WILL be changing over to the CTMH stamp pad design but will be keeping the firm foam pad. My guess is that it will be a few years though. Speaking for myself, I am so excited SU extended this offer to you guys. I can’t wait to see what new products are coming. Be patient with SU as they develop and release the new products. I promise you won’t be sorry. BTW… beautiful card!!

@@patriciahunter1566 OMG!!! You are a girl after my own heart! Thankyou for sharing!! Please tell Me how you store your dies then? I was thinking of that.. we NEVER had stand alone dies - 100% all were just the dies that cut out the stamped images- and they were packaged together.. so our first inclination is to store them as we always have - but I DID think about that.. I won’t remember what is where.. hmmm .. thankyou Thankyou!! Amazing tip - can’t wait to learn from you ♥️

@@DanaSwadling I’m sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Let me start by saying I almost hate answering these kinds of questions publicly because everyone always feels the need to pipe-up and give 10 reasons why I am wrong, so I will just say that this is what I do and I am happy with it but it doesn’t mean there aren’t other things out there. Having said that I use Stamp-n-Storage magnet cards and magnet card sleeves. These are very strong magnet cards, 1/16 of an inch thick and are not flexible. You can buy separate sleeves to slide the cards into. I tried other magnet sheets of various types and didn’t like that they were flexible and didn’t seem strong enough to hold a whole set of dies. Again, my opinion. This is not the cheapest option out there however S-n-S is a wonderful family owned Christian company and I love supporting them and they do run frequent sales. At the time of this writing they have a sale on the magnet cards and sleeves (7/25/2024). Check them out. And no, I am not an affiliate with them. So after I put my dies on the magnet cards and label them ( I buy the 6x7 size cards and pockets), I store them in an acrylic refrigerator storage bin so I can easily flip through all my dies. I’ll link one on Amazon. It is my understanding that Target has some new bins like these as well. Since the magnet cards are 6x7 then I would get a bin that is at least 6.5 to 7 inches wide and 6 inches tall. Anyway, that is what I do. You can definitely find all kinds of magnet sheets on Amazon. Most of them are about 5x7 and aren’t big enough, but again, my opinion. I really hope this helps KAZIPA 4 Pack Kitchen Organizers and Storage-Clear Plastic Storage Bins, Fridge and Pantry Organizers and Storage,Food,Cabinet,Kitchen,Countertops,Cupboard,bathroom Organizers and Storage a.co/d/d8rVL4F www.stampnstorage.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorMeTJFW6pbRGbheR2ocqhd_6BO75qjoIT2FrIumnpQJIgKr9Zc

When I was with SU I discovered the Magic Mat from Scrapbook dot com. I used it to replace bottom cutting plate. Intricate dies need a shim or several passes. Just being honest. If I was die cutting metallic card stock I would use a Magic Mat on top to elimate an etched cutting plate marring the metallic. Just a thought. And I bought the Marietta brand of adhesive 5 x 7 magnet sheets from Amazon. Less expensive and they did the job. Everyone's crafting space is different. Mine is pretty small so for me, using wall mounted CD holders allowed me to put my SU stamp and die cases in alphabetical order. But many use the Stamp and Storage method and "file" them. Again you can find similar products on Amazon that aren't as costly and work just fine. Good luck in your journey! You do you. You've got this! ❤

How do you find the SU machine compared to the CTMH one, i have watched the CTMH one it had a dial for pressure seened a good idea ,, i like my SU mini very much but have changed my large cut emboss machine because it was always hard to rotate and Difficult with the 3D embossing folders . iIhave found my Mini machine excellent for smaller dies and i use now, sorry now a sizzix foldaway handle type ,because it runs every SU dies and embossing folders easily, and cuts superbly, i think my larger SU machine must have been a duff because yours seems to be running smoother than mine ever was even though yours seemed stiff too.
@DanaSwadling2 ай бұрын
@@andrewoverton5246 honestly I didn’t own the ctmh machine ( I had two others already when they came out with it )- although I have good friends that do - and I’ve used it. They all seem to be similar in that if the manufacturer gives you settings for the dials or sandwiches- it seems to work well. But if you have something that is new or isnt listed in the settings “manual” then you spend a lot of time setting the dial and run it through. Setting the dial again and running it through- wastes alot of paper. This one seems to roll very smoothly - I’m noticing that the plates must be a very soft material and are warping. But maybe that’s how it cuts so well? I haven’t had to “paper shim” one cut yet. ⭐️

I have been in the industry in the UK 24 years been with SU 3 times leaving at end july i have had CTMH products shipped to the UK from a kind friend in the usa who i am eternally grateful and loved all my products which were sent .I have used many companies inkpads over the years and found Felt does have more advantages over foam. Foam is difficult to work with its not easy to refill with a reinker you have to use a teaspoon to smoosh the ink into the foam.when new the SU pads are tight and difficult to open and need a lubricant of vaseline to to run down the grooves to slide easy opening and closing . i guess we all have our comfort zone in crafting ,but to me i want a inkpad which works instantly without having to think about barely tapping a stamp on a inkpad and found these inkpads for me personally are the worst inkpads i have invested in but we all have our own opinions what works best for individuals.
