Love your enthusiasm! We used to have an embossing folder that looked exactly like the old tin tiles. So glad i have that one. I think it was called tin tile. You made me add several to my list that i had overlooked! I have a Gemini Jr electric die cut machine because of issues in my hands, arms & shoulders, but i just cheated & got the Spellbinders platinum 6 in Lilac, because I'm obsessed with purple. The SU one is pretty identical to the Spellbinders platinum 6. Finally replaced my 19 yr old big shot which still works great. I needed a manual for a couple other machines I'm cheating with lol. I'm more of a rebel than a rule follower lol.

How do you find the SU machine compared to the CTMH one, i have watched the CTMH one it had a dial for pressure seened a good idea ,, i like my SU mini very much but have changed my large cut emboss machine because it was always hard to rotate and Difficult with the 3D embossing folders . iIhave found my Mini machine excellent for smaller dies and i use now, sorry now a sizzix foldaway handle type ,because it runs every SU dies and embossing folders easily, and cuts superbly, i think my larger SU machine must have been a duff because yours seems to be running smoother than mine ever was even though yours seemed stiff too.

@@andrewoverton5246 honestly I didn’t own the ctmh machine ( I had two others already when they came out with it )- although I have good friends that do - and I’ve used it. They all seem to be similar in that if the manufacturer gives you settings for the dials or sandwiches- it seems to work well. But if you have something that is new or isnt listed in the settings “manual” then you spend a lot of time setting the dial and run it through. Setting the dial again and running it through- wastes alot of paper. This one seems to roll very smoothly - I’m noticing that the plates must be a very soft material and are warping. But maybe that’s how it cuts so well? I haven’t had to “paper shim” one cut yet. ⭐️

For the regular embossing folder you were using the set up for die cutting and not embossing. For embossing the regular embossing folder (not the 3D) use the thick base plate and two clear plates.

I'm still learning too. And I'm learning from you. I've been doing Stampin Up for years but find instructions and information and inspiration is abundant and lots I did not know. Example: I watched your ink comparison video and learned why the Stampin dot pads worked different than the large pads. Tap, tap, tap doesn't work well with those and now I know why and how to use those for best results. Thanks for doing these videos.

Embossing on regular is 1, 3,3 no 2. 1,2 ,3,3 is for cutting dies! I make glue toppers that will fit the glue bottle that you are using.

Wait. What’s a glue topper? Sigh. I’m so happy the “sandwiches “are printed on the plates themselves- helps SO much!! 🤣

@@DanaSwadlingthey are stainless steel pins that I decorate with beads on the top for you to put in the tip of your glue bottles to keep the glue from drying out and easy flowing. If you watch Cathy zielske, she uses them when she’s making cards and using glue.

@@gjwolf100 do you use your toppers with the glue that comes with the top that has a pin in it already? Or the green glue?

​@@DanaSwadlingjust wanted to let you know I've known Gloria on here for years & she's a sweetheart! She can share how she uses the toppers, but I often use other companies glue. I don't use much tape runner so I go through a ton of liquid glue. The other companies usually have needle nose tips or I'll fill up needle tip bottles from Amazon & use toppers or stainless pins in those.
