This is awesome, cuz your Beta fish does eat those 😉, so you are feeding him and keeping it clean....

The poison dart frogs actually gets their poison from beetles from the genuses of Balanophorus and Choresine. Their could be some sort of ants as well but, the batrachotoxins that is found in the Phyllobates family has also been discovered in beetle family of Choresine.

I am getting 2 little guys on sunday and watched the video again to make sure I did everything right… it was so good to know that I can use aquarium calcium remover because the terraristic one is much more expensive.

I keep my goldfish for 6 years, and still have 6 yer old goldfish, i have all mix-raced ones, and the are hardy, never had issue once with em, only goldfish that died on my hands were those fancy ones, i through i did something wrong but now i know it wasn't me , it was genetics... I love goldfish and i will soon get even bigger tank for them! I started breeding them too.
@maleficent333327 күн бұрын
i breed goldfish myself, but i disregard any that has genetical malformations, imo, telescope and ranchu are malformed, they have trouble swimming and seeing, there is nothing cute in that. But i won't agree goldfish being compared to pugs, at least they can live longer than 3 years ... with out vet visit, pugs can not.

You have up too easily. And or maybe you were unemployed for a while. Fancy goldfish are expensive to keep. They r not for beginners ☝️

A real goldfish vetanarian has just told me NOT to do this. Only 30 percent water change. A genuine real water change should never bring them down to 10 percent. They will get reverse osmosis and the shock is so bad. If you are insistent on this. DO NOT DO THIS! IT WILL KILL YOUR GOLDFISH VERY QUICKLY. IT'S OSMOSISTIC INARDS WILL EVENTUALLY PACK IN. ONLY 30 PERCENT! EVERY DAY FOR SICK GOLDIES AND FANCIES. I AM IN LIVERPOOL UK WITH A UNIVERSITY VET TELLING ME THIS. IT WILL CAUSE FEAR OXYGEN STARVATION AND FURTHER COMPLICATIONS. TAKE YOUR GOLDFISH OUT INTO A HOSPITAL TANK WITH AN AIR MACHINE ATTACHED VIA A TUBE AND AIRSTONE IF INTENDING TO CLEAN UP IT'S SHITHOLE.VERY SAD TO SEE THIS. VERY SAD.

I believe the biggest responsibility is feeding them. I'm not familiar with tree frog diet but I often watch the green frogs in my pond outside and they eat such a variety of goodies that I couldn't come close to providing them in a container. I think some creatures are best observed in their natural habitat instead of attempting to simulate it.
@thesolaraquariumКүн бұрын
i agree. i have wild ones around my gutters. i suspect they eat insects, many different kinds? not sure. even tadpoles are too hard for me
@mgoh198413 сағат бұрын
@@thesolaraquarium Yes, they eat everything that's alive and they can swallow. They jump high for bees which seems to be a favorite, and I have seen them head to where the baby fish are near dark and the next day their bellies would be giant!

Just used this to seperate 2 goldfish in my tank. One was not adjusting to his new tank mate. I used Black 7 mesh Plastic Canvas from Michael’s. Suction cups also from Michael’s, got report covers from Office Depot( probably cheaper elsewhere but it was in the same plaza). Slight trimming needed for a 20 L tank. As they grow I’ll need a bigger tank but for now they are both alive and happy. Thanks for the video!

Something I always say is: „cuteness or beauty doesn‘t justify cruelty“
@takke98303 ай бұрын
I wish more people talked about this. Hurting the feelings of animal abusers shouldn‘t be this controversial. This should be illegal. Their entire lives they are stuck in a glass prison with close to no enrichment cause any enrichment would damage them, barely able to swim like a fish should, and living a life of illness and pain. We are subjecting those poor creatures to a life of pure hell. Captive and perpetually suffering and wasting away and for what? Only to please our vanity addictions? I always loved the quite normal looking pond goldfish. Those fish like or bass like goldfish happily swimming in ponds and sparkling in the sun. We should appreciate them. Not force them into this misery cause somehow the more close to the origin species ones are somehow not good enough? Seriously. Just cause they can‘t cry in pain or talk about how sad and miserable they are doesn‘t mean they are happy. Ppl need to chose ethics over vanity and greed.

You need light for the live plants that goldfishes need. Goldfishes do jump out of tanks because either the water has not been changed or the fish is seeking a bigger environment or it could be hungry. Lids for thanks is a good idea but not for every fish 🐟

Those Tung Hoi goldfish carvings are amazing. I own two myself, a ranchu and an oranda, both unpainted. I had the opportunity to order them from the Tung Hoi Aquarium when they were offered for sale through the Goldfish Society of America years ago. Too bad they are no longer available. The artist was truly a master of his kraft. To me, they are priceless.

Had a fascination with black moors (surprised no one has questioned this name, especially these days!) since the late 80's when I started black moor keeping around 10 years old. I love the idea of a collection of mixed coloured telescopes, great to see other people sharing my interests.
