In the Hiram Bullock set does anyone know if that was David Sanborn on the sax? I checked the DESCR and sure enough I think it was :)

Good catch, yes this was a David Sanborn concert on German TV -- whole concert was great.

...anyone else catch Butch reading minds there? The way he could lock into what a soloist was doing... makes me cry to think such a talent decided to take his own life. 😢

THIS HAS BLOWN ME AWAY COMPLETELY. I watch it every day. Barbara is to the Hammond Organ what Jeff Beck is to the Stratocaster. I can’t compliment more than that.. PURE GENIUS

I know exactly what you mean. I had always viewed JImmy Smith as the absolute master of the organ. Then German TV broadcast one of his concerts, I was annoyed because they were spotlighting a young German player as a opening act. Man did my world change in an instant. This opening clip on this video is from that concert. As I watched her play, time slowed down like slow motion. Completely blew me away.

Best version of this Billy Jim Baker masterpiece is on Jacky Jack's live "Night After Night"....This is too blue eyed.On the live one Johnny's guitar solo still gives me goosebumps. AINT IT FUN BEING FROM TEXAS!

Louie should have been a Monkee... Let's be truthful, now, they had Louie doing songs for everyone and Louie just did was he does BEST with no credit...till much much later... his guitar 🎸 playing is AWESOME.... I wonder if each Monkee got paid MORE than Louie... That'd be SHAMEFUL, IF TRUE.

Louie went on to become a great producer with Seals & Crofts and played some amazing guitar on their albums too. Great guy and incredible player.

His work here with Steve Gadd’s Band and more generally is off the charts. Also, if you watch his hard edge playing on a separate KZbin with Joni’s Song for Sharon it is super impressive, mostly rhythm playing but unbelievably sounding like Hendrix at the end.

Well not exactly. They toured as a duo with Bobby on bass for years, but after that you're right. Point of this video is for the masses who know them from radio as "soft rock."
