Wildest Motorcycle Chase Ever -- BRAZIL -- feat. Seals & Crofts' "Big Mac"

This is absolutely the wildest chase I've ever seen, including Hollywood films. The Brazilian police don't😮give up, what a job that must be!!! I've had the Seals & Crofts' song "Big Mac" on my to-do-list for quite a while, but until I saw this clip I wasn't quite sure ab out what I could do. Miraculously, no one was hurt or killed in this insane chase.
This video is part of my Songs That Deserve a Music Video Playlist, and also another example of why Seals & Crofts were more than another "soft rock" duo. The killer drums and percussion you hear at the start of the video is from the song "Big Mac," I looped it for the beginning of this video.
The song also feature's producer Louie Shelton's lead guitar , and the following musicians make up the rest of the band for the album "Unborn Child" on which "Big Mac" is the final track:

Buddy Emmons - steel guitar (total Nashville legend) I don't believe he plays on this track
David Paich - keyboards (co-founder of Toto, top session musician)
David Hungate - bass (member of Toto, top session musician, multi-instrumentalist)
Jeff Porcaro - drums (legendary studio musician and member of Toto)
Bobbye Porter - percussion

This persecution was in 2021 in the city called Osasco, on the outskirts of the state of São Paulo. The motorcycle and rider had the documents ok, the rider was doing illegal maneuvers on the track and was pursued by the military police called Rocam, a group specialized in patrolling within the urban perimeter. They use a 300cc Honda XRE as it has good low-speed torque and high suspension for obstacles.

😂😂😂😂😂 In Brazil, everyone who rides a motorcycle must wear helmets. However, in the favelas in Rio de Janeiro, it’s a whole other animal: no helmet! The reason? The gang leaders and members need to recognize faces and not be caught by surprise and get arrested or killed. Ask the now secretary of justice in Brazil, Flavio Dino. He went to a big favela in Rio named Complexo da Maré and wore no helmet or bullet proof vest… Dude is friends with criminals. 😂

I mean, even if they tried to film this sequence using multiple cameras and an entire film crew it STILL would never look this good.... and in one take is just insane. Both incredible drivers with cat reflexes but if the suspect had an equally powerful bike then no way that cop is making a bust

Think about it, the cop could easily ram them over, which is obvious in some parts, but that is extremely dangerous to both the cops and the rider. So instead, just follow them until they trip or stop, like at the last second of the video

This is a common day here in Brazil, unfortunately. 😂 Good thing that our police officers, especially those who are motorcyclists like those of the “ROCAM” for example, are exceptional. They don't rest, they chase the offender until they have an accident or simply give up the escape.

@@Talking2musicians Fun fact, I am a big fan of America's police videos, especially the ones with the body cameras that record every action (Because well, your police shoot most of the time when you have to). Here police officers suffer severe punishments if they shoot, so they do their best not to have to, and because of this we don't get videos that interesting. The most exciting thing you will find here are the chases. But that's about it. But I didn't know you guys posted videos about ours. What a coincidence lol.

Generally in the favelas, as in the case of this video, people ignore them because most of them don't like the police or are forced to dislike them by threats from criminals. So there they won't make it easy for the police. I can't generalize, but there are people, civilians, who throw stones and make obstacles to try to stop the police. But in most cities people tend to give way, sometimes it takes them a while to react and pull over, but they do. The same goes for ambulances.

Worked in an Emergency Department for many years. The rate of fatalities from motorcycles is about 40 times higher then for cars. Stupid to ride motorcycles. Proof is in the morgue.

This Chase is insane but it’s also been sped up for effect. I would be able to confirm it if there was some sort of timestamp in the video but I think that’s missing for a reason. Along with being completely insane if why would you chase someone like this because of their wireless driving (before the chase). If it’s true and this cop was only chasing this kid because of him popping wheelies or doing something else just b/c he’s trying to impress a girl then you need your head examined. I know that it’s a liberal country but if this happened in the United States and it turned out this kid was just running because he was scared this cop would be out of a job. Countless lives put at risk and for what?? Talk about irresponsible. Does anyone know the details to this story like was the dude a murderer or was he just a stupid kid that made a mistake? Like that girl on the back could’ve been screaming at him that entire ride to stop and let her off. Unless you’re positive that you’re chasing a serial killer or some other violent criminal a cop should be getting the license plate and then following up with the owner at his residence. If the kid lives there you give him a chance to change is behavior. I acted stupid like this one time and after I dropped off the girl I learned one of the most valuable lessons of my life. It was back in the day when neighbors were less inclined to call the cops when a father was handing out life lessons to their 17-year-old! Long story short it was 1 of the 3 times in my life when my father taught me a lesson. I didn’t see it coming it didn’t hurt much but it also got my attention. It was all about the girl on the back…he said nothing about my stupidity or killing myself it was all about getting someone else killed b/c I was showing off. I thanked the cop that went to my house years later when I ran into him at a pub crawl. I see now what an idiot I was but back then it seems like a great idea which is stupid as fuck
