I just got my 200-800 today, and will be pairing it with an R7 and 1.4x and 2x teleconverters. The 2x is absolutely impractical on an R7 with this lens, in terms of image quality, but it's still fun to shoot with - I had the 800 f11 and had fun seeing what I could resolve with that.

Here used market for old lenses is asking as much as new stuff, feel tempted one day to jump on an R10 or R7 with a RF 100-400mm!

Thanks Duade, I am huge fan of yours, follow your youtube videos. I use a light tamron lens 18-400mm for both wildlife and landscape shots and recently bought a second hand tamron zoom lens 150-600mm for wildlife, I tried using it handheld with my canon 7D and it was heavy, I had to sit down and rest the lens on my flexed up knee to practise shots to see how the shot will look like with different modes and FL. thanks again, that was another excellent video! cheers

Thanks for the thorough assessment. My R5 mk 2 has crashed a couple of times also, both as a bird was taking flight. Very frustrating.
